Brown Eyed Girl

When it comes to make-up, everyone has areas/features that they like to emphasis. As I have brown eyes, I use these as my weapon of choice. (They get me out of a lot of trouble.) I love doing the winged eyeliner effect on my eyes. I have therefore went through A LOT of different liners, from Bobbi Brown to Rimmel, and I haven’t been 100% satisfied with them. I decided to switch from liquid to gel to see if there was much of a difference, and I have to say I think I’ve found ‘The One.’

I find gel goes on my lids smoother than liquid. Which kind of confuses me, but hey it works. I recently bought Maybelline’s Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner and I’m a happy girl. Three major advantages that I love about it is;

1. The fact that it has an oil free formula that holds concentrated pigments in a clear gel base.

2. It is smudge and water-resistant. (Yes girls, you heard that correctly.)

3. And finally, it lasts up to 24 hours! (Boom!)

When applying this liner, I found it went on as smooth as butter. The brush that they provide with it is thin enough to create a fine line if that is the effect you are after. You can gradually build the thickness of the line depending on what you want.

I got this with the 3 for 2 offer Superdrug had on last weekend. It’s still cheap and cheerful at £7.99, so ladies go treat yourself this weekend! For tips on how to create the ‘winged effect’ look, check out my post: https://niamhkelly.wordpress.com/2011/07/19/

Hope you’re all having a great weekend. Have fun!

  1. I am an eyeliner fiend and love the L’Oreal carbon gloss liquid eyeliner. It’s more black than the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, for me, and it’s so easy to apply.
