Sweet Mary Jane

If there is a particular style of shoe that I just adore, it has to be the Mary Jane. I first fell in love with these when my mummy bought me my first ever pair when I was 13. It had a two-inch heel and I felt like I could rule the world.

Thanks to Sarah Jessica Parker and her role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City, the Mary Jane has become one of the most iconic and powerful representations of a woman. When I think of this shoe, I think Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo. As trends change, today’s prim classic just got cool. I’ve selected a few of my favourites styles that I think will be a winner this summer.

Anything to do with Kurt Geiger and I’m a very happy girl. These Mary Jane’s definitely remind me of a classic Manolo Blahnik. With the thin delicate heel and strap, these would be perfect for weddings, cocktails or even work. (If you can walk around in them for an entire day.) I love the colour, they look so sweet. The perfect best friend for your pencil skirt.

One thing I love is bold and vibrant colours. They suit the majority of skin tones and are perfect for a night out with the girls. What’s even better about Carvelas style are the three straps that cross over. With heels this high, they will certainly secure you on a night. Also the platform on the front helps to balance out the height of the heel.

Saving the best until last, these fantastic statement shoes are guaranteed to capture attention as soon as you walk into any room. Bold bird prints feature heavily in this season’s key trends. With the jewelled encrusted brooch on the front of the shoe, the time has come to embrace the glitz!

Hope you’re all having a great week. I’m now officially counting down the days until I’m relaxing on the beach with a cocktail! 😉
