Yesterday I attended the fabulous and stylish Victoria Square Ladies Day at Down Royal Race Course. As the sun began to set, the temperature continued to soar as ladies from around the country debuted their Ladies Day looks.
I have to say, the hats, dresses and even the shoes were magnificent! So much effort and thought went into each outfit. I wanted to create a quick post on what I wore. I decided to opt for the classic monochrome look of black and white.
I got this stunning 1950’s inspired dress from A|Wear. It is such a comfortable dress and I honestly felt fabulous in it. I love it when you find the perfect dress that makes you feel like a million pounds!
I opted for my black fitted blazer from H&M and included my black over-sized lace envelope clutch from New Look. Instead of wearing courts, I chose my black ankle boots from Topshop.
When it came to jewellery, I decided the gothic look would be my style for the evening. I wore my pretty white gold Guess watch with a stunning black chunky gothic bracelet and ring.
Traditionally, hats or fascinators are worn on Ladies Day. I felt with my ‘boy’ haircut I wanted to opt for something a little different. When I came across this unique and utterly fabulous ear piece, I knew I was on to a winner! (Pardon the pun!)
To finish off my look, I decided to go for the old hollywood look with my make up. Winged eyeliner and cherry red lips completed my look and I honestly loved it.
I had such a good day and I brought my niece Cliodhna along for the ride. (Again I apologise for the puns!) Although, I think I should have worn tights as it was freezing! 😉
Thanks to the fabb girls and of course Victoria Square for a great evening!
