The Slieve Russell Hotel, Golf & Country Club

Over the weekend, I was staying at the breathtaking Slieve Russell Hotel in County Cavan. The weekend away was all about relaxing and that’s exactly what I did. As soon as we arrived, we headed straight down to the jacuzzi. I could have spent the entire time there, it was unbelievably relaxing. The Steam Room and Sauna were perfect for detoxing my body and skin.

I also treated myself to an afternoon at their fabulous Ciúin Spa. It was heaven on earth and so tranquil, the name itself was amazing – Ciúin is Irish for calm and quiet – and it truly was. We were going for a beautiful meal in their restaurant so I wanted to get pampered for the occasion.

Come nighttime, the grounds surrounding the hotel came to life. The lighting was so pretty which made watching the sunset even more romantic. Oh and if you ever visit, make sure you check out their secret garden – it’s devine! My weekend was simply amazing and so relaxing, I would definitely go back for another visit. ♥

If you’re travelling from the Belfast area, it’s roughly a two hour journey. Once there, you’ll likely spend your weekend within the hotel grounds. There is so much to do so you’ll not feel restless. Although if you do head out for a drive, Upper Lough Erne is only a short distance away – perfect for a picnic! ♥

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Back to reality today. Oh, the joys! 😉
