I know I say this every so often but I’ve been in a rut. I just haven’t found the energy to blog, I even went off social media for a while (the horror!). I’ve yet to snap some personal style and beauty posts, I have so many planned posts written down. I just need to find some proper time to snap out of my rut. I’ve probably asked this before but does any of you ever find yourself feeling like this?
Even though I’m not quite back to business, I have realised I have been skipping on a few other sections within my blog. I love posting about my ‘Inspirational Bloggers’ so today is this day.
Introducing the magnificent, Julie Sariñana from Sincerely Jules. Born in Los Angeles, California she is every inch a true beauty and her personal style is one of envy. Describing her style as “Laid-back chic! I don’t like to look too put together, but you can most certainly see a lot of California in my style.”
I’m not really one for using the modern day slang, I just can’t bring myself to say ‘Bae’ or ‘On Fleek’ or ‘Cray, Cray’ (no offense to those who do say them). However, there is a first for everything and today is the day when I say ‘Girl Crushin’ on my blog. That’s exactly what Julie is to me, she is just such a natural beauty, stylish, effortless and an all round legend. So there you go, I’m girl crushin on her.
Her style is one of envy and I’m sure the majority of her followers find themselves trying to recreate her looks. They do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattering. Her personal style is quite simple, she incorporates classic pieces and adds her own touch to it. The timeless white shirt is one of my favourite looks, I absolutely love it worn with ripped jeans as it injects some edge into it.
Travelling the world is still a major factor for me to experience. I want to tick a few things off my bucket list within the next few years and making memories in different countries is definitely one of them. That’s what I absolutely love about scrolling through Instagram and in particular, Julie’s account. Spending time exploring a city’s culture, food, fashion and architecture is my idea of heaven and for the mean time, I’m seeing it all vicariously through Julie.
When a girl loves food, it makes me love her. The American style food always looks all the more delicious, the portions are to die for and it is oh so photogenic. It’s all made for Instagram and Julie knows how to sell it to us all. For my next birthday, I NEED a head size hamburger cake. It’s insanely mouthwatering looking and I must have one just like it.
With the summer festival season fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking of what looks I want to work. Giving the fact that I’ll probably never get to experience Coachella first hand, I will happily party through Julie. Her style was so effortless and festival chic, I loved every inch of it. From cool Californian to seventies sweetheart, I just couldn’t get enough. I actually purchased a fabulous tan leather fringed waistcoat from Zara last week so I’m almost festival ready!
With so many social media outlets available, it can be a little over whelming when it comes to staying up to date with your favourite blogger. I tend to spend most of my networking time on Instagram, it’s my absolute favourite. You really get an up close and personal sneaky peek into others people’s lives. Julie is no different, she travels the world to the most exotic locations, snaps the most prettiest photos and is a pro at taking that perfect selfie.
We actually have a few things in common, horse riding and eternal love for our mothers. Of course Julie’s shot of her on a horse is a lot more Western chic with the Grand Canyon backdrop and off the shoulder blouse. The double demon act with her mama is just adorable. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for my little lady, she is my everything and I love seeing other bloggers sharing their love as well.
I’m so happy to be back blogging and interacting with all of you lovelies. Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday for my next post.
