September Monthly Favourites

For a while now I’ve been busy brainstorming new ways to combine my love of fashion and beauty in just one post. I usually featured them in separate segments (unless it’s my Instagram post) however I’ve decided to create a new category called, Monthly Favourites. It’s basically a collection of my favourite style and beauty products/pieces that I have loved within that month. I will also throw some photography into the mix just to add a little flavour to it. I’m hoping to save the images for my Monthly Favourites feature as I don’t want to confuse them with my Instagram post. Hope this all doesn’t sound too confusing.

So… today is my first feature for the month of September. Over the last four week’s I have snapped up some beauty/make up products along with new pretty fashion pieces. As it is my first feature, for this month only I’m going to include some other things I’ve been enjoying during August so if you follow me a few shots will be familiar. Next month I’ll have completely fresh images. I’m excited to branch out with all of you lovelies by my side. I only hope you enjoy this post as much as I have. This month was very make up heavy for me, I just couldn’t resist treating myself to some new products for Autumn. I can tell you that they were all worth every penny (saying this makes me feel better for upsetting my bank account).

Style:

My green bomber jacket from Topshop worked wonders for me during my festival season and it is continuing to stay strong throughout the Autumn period. It traps the heat like you wouldn’t believe and it is so easy to style. I have such a weak spot for quirky watches and my fab burgundy Cora wooden watch from JORD is definitely a must have for this season. I love the pearl face and Swarovski detailing is absolutely magnificent. Speaking of quirky, sometimes bringing your look back to basics can feel so fresh and chic, I love doing this as it gives me a fab opportunity to play around with my accessories. I always opt for a slogan bag (you can shop it here) so that it keeps my style looking edgy and fun. Every so often I just adore branching out with my look and trying a new style – enter my fab new culottes from Zara. They are so incredibly comfortable to wear and I can’t help but feel so ladylike in them. Us bloggers love indulging in some Chanel Boy dupe handbags (also from Zara) and Adidas, Superstars – a cliché yet chic look!

Beauty:

Now onto the sweet stuff! I was a little late jumping on the Zoeva bandwagon therefore I had to treat myself to their Coco Blend eyeshadow palette and new Rose Gold Vol.2 Eye Brush set. The pigmentation is an absolute dream and the brushes make it a joy to blend. Over the past few months, I have been quite strict with my skincare routine. I recently started using a Vitamin E Facial Mist from The Body Shop and I am obsessed with it. The mist is so refreshing and kind to my skin, I’ve noticed a great improvement. It was such a big month for me make up wise, I may have over shopped just a tad. I had been trying to get my hands on the Burgundy Times Nine eyeshadow palette from MAC and last weekend it finally became mine! Of course I had to include some Christian Louboutin and Charlotte Tilbury into today’s feature for some high end goodness.

Photography:

Capturing special moments is a favourite hobby of mine and I could spend endless hours travelling the world doing so. Whether it is snapping that iconic landmark, a breathtaking sunset or music moments at Hozier, I just love it. When you’re having a blue day there is no better feeling than looking back at amazing adventures and reminiscing about those heart warming times. I actually captured this fantastic sunrise the other day when I was getting ready to go to work. It’s hard to believe that such beauty is at your own doorstep.
