Kildare Village is Ireland’s very own shopping euphorium that holds an array of classic designers from Gucci to Calvin Klein. For those of you who prefer the finer things in life at a discount price, then this outlet destination is the ultimate shopping experience. Nestled beautifully just outside Dublin, the Village is without a doubt a picturesque scene with an incredible variety of brands available.
As much as I adore many well known brands, I always appreciate talented designers from our very own Green Isle. Só Collective just recently opened its doors to the public, hosting a variety of established and emerging Irish designers all under one roof. The concept is incredible and the collections on display were simply breathtaking. The meaning behind the store is ‘Treat of Luxury’ and it truly represents in each piece of fabric, print and style within the collections. Designers such as Helen Steele, Sian Jacobs, Zöe Carol and Jill de Búrca are all showcasing their collections.
I absolutely loved the decor throughout the Village. Spring had certainly Sprung as large flowers were displayed around every corner. The little details within each area were just so pretty. We managed to get some lunch from a retro Volkswagen mini van and sat on the bench watching the world go by. The statues of the Irish Wolfhounds were my favourite, a proud Celtic touch to the Village for everyone to enjoy.
In between browsing the official store opening, I conviently managed to fit in some personal shopping time. To say I was excited was an understatement, I had planned my every move as to which store I wanted to visit. For the occasion, I decided keep my look simple with my favourite camel coat and white lace top. I paired them with my black biker jeans and marble heeled boots to tie it all together. As Kildare Village is a hub of luxury, I decided to accessorize my look starting with my Rebecca Minkoff satchel bag and Pandora rose gold rings.
We were very kindly gifted with a beautiful gift bag that included a VIP card for further discount throughout the Village. Once I had this in my hand, I was an unstoppable force. I ventured around each shop and browsed the collections. I was going to treat myself in Mulberry but nothing caught my eye. I promptly headed to DKNY and finally settled at Kate Spade where I spent most of my afternoon.
I absolutely adore the theme that runs throughout her collections and stores. The vibrant and bold interior was eye catching and I had a tough time deciding on what to buy. Anytime I visit New York or Boston I always stock up on her pieces. I’m over the moon that I now don’t have to cross the Atlantic Ocean if I fancy a new bag! In the end I did make a purchase but I’m going to save it for another post.
If you have never been to Kildare Village I would highly recommend a trip. It’s an incredible destination for those of you who love all things fashion.
