My week on Instagram ♥

What a busy week between events, work, blogging, shopping and snoozing! Now that the bright nights are here, I always find my days get busier.

On Thursday I attended an event over at Charles Hurst. They were showcasing Benefit’s new Citroën Benemobile. It’s an absolute beaut of a car complete with lush candy stripe interiors, an arm rest that’s really a make up holder and beautiful art work. My kind of car! ♥

This week I’ve featured new make up purchases, my favourite accessories, my beloved Tom & Eva tote and much more. Check it out! 🙂

The Benemobile

When I first heard that Benefit Cosmetics was teaming up with car brand, Citroën, I have to admit I was a little curious about how it would work.

Obviously I knew it would involve a car, but, I was curious to see the finished result. To say I was blown away was a bit of an understatement. I knew that the car would incorporate Benefits signature colours and logo. However, when I first set eyes on the fabulous car I stood in awe.

The car is truly a work of art. The delicate art work around the body of the car is magnificent. The interior is unbelievable, it’s the kind of car that a girl could only dream of. From amazing striped seats to a cosmetic holder instead of an arm rest, it is the ultimate beauty motor.

The event also had a make up station and on hand masseuse. I’ve honestly never been to an event like this before, it was so fun and refreshing. I had my make up done by one of the lovely benebabes. I opted for a natural smoky eye and she contoured my face. ♥

As we had amazing weather, I decided to welcome it by wearing my River Island shorts and tee, paired with my Tom & Eva tote and Carvela gladiator wedges.

Happy Friday lovelies. Hope you all have a brilliant weekend! 🙂

I’ve become an NARSissit

A few weeks ago, I took a trip down to Dublin for a high tea at the Benefit Boutique. During my time there, I took a sneaky trip into Brown Thomas and treated myself.

Once again, I popped another beauty cherry and bought my first ever NARS product. Shocking I know, but, it’s better late than never. . Right?! 😉

image

I’ve always heard so many fabulous reviews about NARS as a brand, and I was very keen to try out one product in particular. Following so many beauty bloggers and their reviews about the brands Illuminator liquid, I just had to treat myself to it.
image

I opted for the classic ‘Orgasm’ shade. It stood out straight away and it was the first one I was familiar with. First, the name itself is amazing (haha) and I’m really looking forward to using it.

I love the warm, rich peachy pink colour with specks of gold reflecting from it. With a product like this, I will use it to highlight my cheek and brow bones. If I’m in need of more of a glow, then I’ll mix a little dab of it in with my foundation.

The product consists so many key ingredients:

Polar Berries, known for their antioxidant properties.
Bisabolol, known as an anti-inflammatory (obtained from the Chamomile plant).
Indian Frankincense, known for its soothing and comforting properties.
Vitamin B5, known to condition skin.
Sodium Hyaluronate, known to hydrate skin.

I’m going to use the Illuminator this weekend so I’ll keep you updated on my thoughts.

Are there any other NARS products that you ladies love or would recommend?

Happy weekend! ♥

The Benefit Boutique

On Saturday I was invited down to Dublin by the lovely, Sofia from Benefit Cosmetics, to visit their new boutique store located on the lush South William Street.

Having braved the horrendous weather, myself and my fellow blogger buddy, Christine (www.dollshousejournal.com), made our way to their stylish boutique on Grafton Street. I was fueled with excitement and anticipation as I was very curious as to how the store would look.

My eyes lit up as soon as I walked into the boutique. I’ve never seen such a fabulous store, it’s my dream store! The decor consisted of sweet candy coloured striped walls, vintage style mannequins and inspirational quotes covering the walls.

There was a great atmosphere in the VIP room where myself and fellow Irish bloggers enjoyed a catch up with Benefit babes, Mark and Sofia. At times it was hard for me to concentrate due to the delicious cupcakes and cookies that we had at our table.

The Benefit team walked us through their latest beauty launches for their new Lollitint and Porefessional transloosent powder. We also got to have a look at the amazing eyebrow gel that isn’t launching until March. Although us lucky bloggers got to get a sneak preview of it and a sample to take home. 🙂

It was such a fabulous afternoon catching up with the Benefit gang and finally getting to see the new boutique. Without a doubt, I’ll be taking another trip down to Dublin very soon for a day of pampering at the store!
