Best of 2011: Nailing It

I had so much fun this year experimenting with all of the different nail arts. I have created several different designs but my favourite has to be the diagonal line effect. It was such an easy design to create using sellotape. Simply paint on your base colour. Once dry, place the sellotape onto your nail in a diagonal position and begin painting on the second coat. Make sure you use two colours that compliment each other.

Best of 2011: Studded Skirt

Studded clothing, bags, shoes etc are a huge feature in my life. I can’t get enough of them. So when I set my eyes on this amazing little number, I knew instantly that I was in love and we would live happily ever after. What I love about it is how comfortable it is and it’s not too short which is great news for my sometimes annoying long legs. ( Don’t mean to sound big-headed! )

Studded Skirt

It is one of my favourite piece’s to wear. As you can see in the picture, it is best worn with a simple plain coloured top in order to allow the skirt to stand out. Hope you all love it as much as I do.

Best of 2011: Leopard Print Shoe Boots

Ah, my prized possessions. Definitely a highlight of my 2011 fashion year. And the added bonus about these babies is that they have to be one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever wore! I’m just so in love with them. I remember looking at them when they were online for £105 and then I decided to treat myself and buy them. Amazingly, when I went to get them they were on sale for £30. Result!

I’m constantly wearing them with my leather trousers. They make the ultimate statement on a night out.

Best of 2011: Fabulous Feathers

One of my favourites accessories to come out of this year. My amazing large black feathered statement necklace. I know I’ve already shown you it in a different post but it belongs in this category. It’s such a unique looking necklace, the great thing about it is I can wear it with smart casual clothes or go all out for the ultimate glamour look.

Best of 2011: Estee Lauder Silky Powder Blush

When it comes to your skin, it is worth while investing a little more money into products that will benefit your skin and emphasis your features. I find some people can be colour blind when it comes to wearing blusher, sorry girls but that dark brown bronzer or fluorescent pink makes you look like a dirty faced clown. Make up is supposed to look natural, give yourself a beautiful glow not a Desperate Scousewives make over.

Estee Lauder Silky Powder Blush

The reason why I love this blusher is because it sweeps on sheer without streaking or looking heavy. It gives my cheeks a soft, healthy glow.
