It’s safe to say that the holiday blues have well and truly kicked in. I miss the sun, sea and sangria! The weather here in Ireland is HORRIBLE and it’s not helping with my mood. Although saying that I do love Autumn, I’d rather fast forward to it and skip the end of ‘Summer’. I’ve an exciting event coming up as the new KIKO store opens on Wednesday 31st August. I absolutely love the brand and picked up a few products when I was in Spain. I’m excited to get a private run through of the store and products, need new looks for Autumn. I’ll be sure to blog and Instagram the launch so stay tuned!
FINALLY… I’m back with a style feature for all of you lovelies. Between the gloomy weather and finding someone who is good at shooting looks, it can be a challenge to post. If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll know that last week I was down in County Kerry. I spent a few days in the glorious sunshine by the famous, Killarney Lakes. It was an incredibly relaxing break and I made the most of the sunshine. Although that’s probably our summer over now as the Irish weather is never kind.
Is it just me or are the months flying in? Halloween seems like years ago and Christmas is sneaking up. Not that I’m complaining or anything. The Christmas Markets have arrived here in Belfast and I am extremely excited to visit them. Each year I often find a beautiful vintage bag or purse and indulge in some seriously sweet treats. The atmosphere is always great and makes the countdown to the festive season all the more enjoyable.
I just noticed that this week’s Instagram
images are heavily fashion influenced. The AW14 season is in full swing and I am absolutely loving it. By the way, can I just say how excited I am to have finally got my manicured hands on Diane Von Furstenberg’s latest book, ‘The Woman I Wanted To Be’. I tend to hibernate during the Winter months so I am looking forward to ready this little beauty by the fire. Does this make me sound pathetic?
Also included in this week’s post, a little California dreaming, hairstyle inspiration, indulging in some seriously mouthwatering food, enjoying a Kate Spade Saturday and getting into the Christmas spirit.

Hope you’re all having a great week.
Unfortunately when I was on my holidays during the summer, I left my trusty straighteners behind. I’ve had them for a number of years and they have never given me any trouble. Luckily Gordons Chemists pretty much stock everything beauty that you need and it’s all under one roof! 🙂
I opted for Remington as they are a brand that I have always used and they have a great life span. My old ones were more of a square shape, so I was over the moon with my new pair as I can also create a wave or curl look. Perfect! ♥
I’ve been using them daily since getting them and I haven’t looked back. They heat up instantly and are set at the perfect temperature of 210°C, nobody wants burnt hair. They also cool down pretty quick which I love as I’m always in a rush when styling my hair.
My ‘Blogger in Residence’ time for Gordons Chemists is complete and I just want to thank all of the lovely staff for making my experience enjoyable. Thanks to Nicola for picking me to cover the month of August, I appreciate it! ♥
Hope you’re all having a great weekend.
Last week I shared with all of you my evening at Una Rodden’s fabulous Usine fashion film and collection preview. Today, I’ve uploaded the YouTube video for those of you who would like to get a closer look at her breathtaking collection. ♥
The video was shot in a warehouse in Donegal and it was directed by the talented, Neill Kerr.
