You Tube Favourites

For the past year now I have been obsessed with watching fashion and beauty videos on You Tube. I one day would love to start up my own channel and hopefully have a more interactive connection with my readers. Until then, I will live this goal vicariously through my favourite ladies.

These talented and entertaining girls have made such a strong name for themselves across the web. They have created their own make up lines with various make up brands, travelled the world with other bloggers and turned what they do into an amazing career.

Jaclyn Hill:

Probably one of the most successful You Tube channels, Jaclyn has over two million subscribers tuning in each week. Her outrageous and vibrant personality isn’t for everyone but I find her massively entertaining. She is an incredible make up artist who lives in Florida, and she can create pretty much any look. She loves a strong smoky eye and can pose in front of a camera like it’s no ones business. Jaclyn also collaborated with Becca Cosmetics to created a stunning highlighter called, Champagne Pop. You can read my post on it here.

In The Frow:

UK blogger, Victoria has really came into the limelight for her blog and You Tube channel within the past two years. She is a lover of tattoos, colourful hair and designer brands. Until recently she had purple ombre hair but she has opted for a more muted grey for Autumn. Her style also features on her channel and she creates look books along with haul videos.

Beauty Life Michelle:

This Irish beauty has been busy living it up at NYFW last week as she was giving the opportunity to attend some shows curiosity of Tresemme. Her channel is growing stronger every day and her make up looks are so pretty. I could spend hours just watching her create different looks. The Aussie based beauty is definitely one of my favourites and I actually think she was the first ever You Tube channel I started watching.

Vivianna Does Make Up:

A classic English girl, Anna is that girl next door. She comes across as a bit of a good girl with a very natural look. She is best friends with Lily Pebbles and the two often collaborate together on their channels and more recently have held some workshops at Space NK. She features a mixture of drugstore and high end products on her channel and creates very soft and sweet looks.

Kathleen Lights:

This quirky Latino from Miami is one of the funniest girls around who actually has no idea just how hilarious she is. Her story is quite inspirational, she is 23 years old and is married to a military man so she lives on base. She has such beautiful porcelain skin and she enjoys the drugstore products overall so she is perfect for those of you who like to shop on a budget. I was lucky enough to get my hands on her quartz shadow palette that she created with Colour Pop Cosmetics. It is so beautifully pigmented and I can’t wait to use it this season.

Within the next year I really want to get into the swing of starting up my own channel. It’s definitely on my bucket list but I’m just not sure how the Belfast accent will sound on camera. Haha!

#NYFW Favourites

Every year I tell myself that I’ll make it to NYFW one day, and that dream is still very much alive. It has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, however until then I’ll just live it vicariously through social media and bloggers. Obviously as a fashion blogger, I follow a fair share of designers, socialites and bloggers on Instagram that are sharing their collections and NYC moments with their followers.

image

image

My main bloggers that I follow during the festivities are: Alexandra Pereira, Rebecca Laurey, Margaret Zhang and Lisa DiCicco Chaue. Each girl has a very different view on the shows and their styles are unique and incredibly chic. I also follow them on SnapChat which is great for instant and raw footage. Everyone loves a little behind the scenes action and these girls sure do deliver that.

Lovely Pepa: Alexandra has been busy roaming the streets of NYC to capture those picture perfect outfit shots and sitting FROW at iconic shows such as, Carolina Herrera. The Spanish beauty has been featuring her adventures on her SnapChat and has been including her glam team beautifying her before shows, she is definitely living the perfect NYC life!

image

image

Raspberry n Rouge: Amsterdam based fashion blogger Rebecca is a popular figure throughout the week as she is one of the most well known bloggers today. Her quirky style and European taste brings a touch of culture to the shows making her quite appealing to follow. Her time at the Self Portrait event was beautifully captivating. I’m a huge fan of the designer so I was thrilled when Rebecca uploaded her time at the showcase.

image

image

Shine By Three: One of the most inspirational bloggers around, I have been obsessed with Margaret Zhang and her style for years now. Her stint on Australian TV show, Fashion Bloggers made her a household name and now she takes prestigious seats at various designer shows across the globe. Her raw photography is magnificent, alongside her style, she has been loving the details at shows such as, Karen Walker. (Is anyone immediately thinking of Will & Grace. No?! Just me then.)

I’ve also included a selection of my favourite looks from the designers themselves over the past few days. SS16 is looking hot thanks to these talented men and women and of course the models help them sizzle. I absolutely love Lily Aldridge’s look for Diane Von Furstenberg’s show, definitely 1970’s inspired with the retro prints and voluptuous hair. Can we also take a moment to appreciate the fabulous Tory Burch and her magnificent gold plated heels. That detailing is breathtaking, if only they were mine! Zac Posen was certainly the epitome of structure and drama with his incredible pieces. Paying tribute to the free spirit girls, Rebecca Minkoff was very much the coolest lady in town with her effortless and laid back styles. Very much festival appropriate and firm favourites in my opinion. The master of the classic American look, Tommy Hilfiger remains an iconic staple at New York Fashion Week. His collection of one of youth and beauty all while incorporating his culture into his pieces. Again, when you have Suki Waterhouse walking in your show you are going to keep everyone’s pulses racing.

I know the last few features on my blog have been very much Fashion Week based, but it would have been rude not to include them. I’ll be back posting as normal next week.

#LFW || Best Bloggers To Follow On Instagram

With London Fashion Week SS16 just around the corner, I wanted to share and update my collection of blogger’s to follow during the week long festivities. I shared the same post last year (you can read it here) but this season I’ve updated my bloggers to follow. I still have some old favourites included but I have discovered some new bloggers over the past few months.

Taking place from 18th-24th September 2015, it is the most prestigious week long fashion extravaganza to hit the UK. I am hoping to go to February’s shows as it is for their AW16 showcase and also my birthday week. I’m much more of an Autumn/Winter baby so I would definitely prefer to go during this time.

image

Over the week I am constantly glued (more so than usual) to my Instagram feed. For today’s post I wanted to share my five favourite bloggers and vloggers to follow during LFW. Like I’ve already said, I included some golden oldies and new stylish ladies to keep an eye on during the week.

Hannah Crosskey from A Fashion Fix: A classic girl who’s OOTD posts are within the elite streets of London town. The iconic town houses and chic gardens are a constant feature within her posts. A regular at LFW, Hannah is definitely one to follow for up to date information and beautiful style shots.

image

image

Louise O’ Reilly from Style Me Curvy: It’s only natural that I include a fellow Irish blogger in the mix. Louise is one of the friendliest and down to earth girls I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She has won various awards for her blog and is an inspirational ambassador for gorgeous girls with beautiful curves. Her Instagram shots are so pretty and definitely worth mentioning for LFW.

image

image

Philippa Bloom & Sarah Tankel Ellis from We Are Twinset: A new addition to my LFW follow, these two girls have been creating a storm within the blogging community. I had the pleasure of meeting Philippa last year and she is equally beautiful in real life. They have such fabulous style and are greatly known within the London fashion scene as they have been stylists for a few years now. I can’t wait to see what they will be sharing during the week, no doubt they’ll get some backstage shots.

image

image

Victoria from In The Frow: An oldie but goodie, Victoria is a girl with white hair, tattoos and amazing style. She can rock pretty much any look and her shots from LFW are just so beautiful. She also has a You Tube channel so you can see the week long festivities through her eyes along with some behind the scenes action and make up tutorials.

image

image

Sandra Hagelstam from 5 Inch And Up: The absolute pro and in a league of her own when it comes to style and blogging, Sandra is a must follow in general. Her shots are incredibly raw and her looks are bold and brave. A lover of all things designer, she is my high end blogger that I love to follow as I live and breathe these designers vicariously through her.

I hope I have you all equipped for LFW, I just can’t wait to see all of the glorious shows unfold through the eyes of these amazing bloggers.

Inspirational Blogger || Emma Hill

Continuing on from last week’s Inspirational Blogger series, today’s post is yet another stylish one that features another favourite blogger of mine, Emma Hill from EJ Style. Ms. Hill is a London stylist and blogger who shares her daily looks against the beautiful and classic London town houses. She is a girl after my own heart as she loves a fab handbag and shoe addiction, nothing wrong with that.

Judging from her personal style shots, Emma loves a neutral colour palette. I’ve found that this season I’m all about the basics, there is something so therapeutic about keeping things simple and breaking away from my usual bold prints and vibrant colours. Those mustard culottes are an absolute dream and beautiful paired with a simple white top and neutral accessories.

Like I’ve previously said, I enjoy a girl who has a thing for shoes. For me, it makes checking out her blog and social media accounts all the more enjoyable. Emma is definitely on point when it comes to wearing the hottest footwear styles available. The snake skin print is an absolute must have for the Autumn season, very seventies appropriate. Can we also just take a moment to appreciate her fabulous Chanel espadrilles?!

Now onto the handbags! I go through phases when it comes to updating my collection. One season I’m all for focusing on purchasing new pieces and for months after I’ll not give them a thought. The fact that Emma has treated herself to a much sought after Chloé bag tells me that the girl has some seriously impressive taste! (Again, moment of appreciation for the Gucci and Chanel boy).

As usual the Instagram game always has to be strong. Funny cards, beautiful flatlays, travelling diaries and detailed shots are all featured in Emma’s Instagram account. She has such a pretty theme throughout and I always look forward to her next post.

My Week On Instagram ❤

I don’t know about any of you but it has been such a busy few week’s with work, writing and catching up on some quiet time. I can’t believe it’s September already! I absolutely love this time of year, Autumn is my favourite season and my official countdown to Halloween is on. As soon as we enter this season I get so excited for my favourite holiday. Last year I was very lucky to spend it in Salem, it was honestly the best experience, I cannot wait to go back within the next year or two.

It has also been a busy week for me over on my Instagram account. I’ve been shopping up a slight storm treating myself to some new make up for Autumn and updating my wardrobe with some new cosy knits and comfortable shoes. I also can’t stop wearing my new wooden watch from  JORD, it’s my favourite new accessory. I also spent last month pretty much signing off from Summer by part taking in some festival adventures at Hozier and UB40. I
