Let’s just say – the month of May was not kind to me! I was so ill for all of it and I also had to get an operation (I was supposed to get two but that’s a story for another day!). I’m thankfully recovering well after a bad turn but now I’m finally back on track and focusing on every Summer! *end of rant* So apart from everything mentioned above I’ve just been taking it easy and building myself back up.
Summer consists mainly of two things for me – cocktails and more cocktails. I’ve been on some what of a kick and the glorious sunshine we’ve been enjoying doesn’t help! The mind blowing and decadent ‘Lagaritas’ at hotspot, The Perch, left an almighty feeling with me the next day! That’s what Summer is all about isn’t it?! Between socialising and sunbathing this past few week’s have been quite enjoyable! I head off to Spain in three week’s for a well deserved break and I’m in dire need of new swimwear and it’s safe to say I have left it a little late. If any of you can recommend any pretty one pieces or bikinis please let me know, I’m desperate.
Over the years I’ve built up a trusty collection of makeup brushes that I either use on a daily basis or specific styles for when I’m going out. When I first started blogging I had a very basic selection of brushes that I used for everything. Looking back I don’t know how I managed it as with experience I find I need certain brushes to create and achieve certain looks. Whether I’m carving out my brow, sculpting my contour or touching up my highlight, I need the correct tools to accomplish a flawless look.
I have spent most of this week waiting *patiently* for parcels to arrive. I’m still waiting for the rest of my IT Cosmetics to arrive (thanks for that Beautylish). On Wednesday the mothership of all things beauty was posted in the form of Sephora. I decided to go ahead and order the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette. There has been much controversy surrounding the eyeshadow pallette but thankfully my order did not disappoint! The pigmentation, texture and quality are Becca worthy and I’m madly in love. To say it’s majestic is an understatement, the packaging is very ‘Instagram appropriate’ and the colours certainly pop.
It only took me a couple of years but I FINALLY own a few of the infamous IT Cosmetics products. I’ve been going back and forth for so long and last week I finally bit the bullet. I often see so many of my favourite Australian and American YouTuber’s swear by their makeup products, particularly the Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer. I wanted to show you what I got… I’ll be featuring a more indepth look and swatches of them in a few week’s. I’ve a couple more products ordered (hence the wait for swatches) but I just couldn’t resist sharing my first ever purchase with all of you today.
