Beauty Edit: Pestle & Mortar Erase Makeup Remover Balm

If there’s one area of skincare that is underrated in my opinion – it’s a good makeup remover. Once upon a time I used baby wipes but quickly stopped when I learnt just how damaging it was to the skin. For a while now I’ve been using baby oil (out of pure laziness) but it’s a little too harsh for my eye area. They dried up quite a bit but I also think it was part hayfever too as the itchiness was quite intense. I’ve been shopping around for a little while looking at various cleansing balms to help break down and remove any makeup or pollution. Pestle & Mortar have made such an impact on my beauty regime with their Hydrochloric Serum and now I’ve introduced their latest addition, Erase cleansing/makeup removing balm into the mix. It’s an oil like balm that is designed to remove even stubborn makeup and of course those day to day elements such as dirt and any environmental issues.

Beauty Edit : 5 tips before travelling

Whenever you know you’ve a holiday coming up it’s the small things that you often forget about. I tend to write a checklist of various things I need to book in for. Instagram Roundup

Let’s just say – the month of May was not kind to me! I was so ill for all of it and I also had to get an operation (I was supposed to get two but that’s a story for another day!). Current Skincare Favourites

I have a serious love/hate relationship with my skin but I’d say over the past year it’s thankfully been more love than hate. After attending an event by the lovely folks at Image Skincare a few year’s ago, I got into conversation regarding my skin. They recommended I visit Réjouir Skin Clinic (you can read all about it here) on the Lisburn Road. During the visit I learnt that my previous skincare routine had to go. I was using the wrong products, to be honest I didn’t have enough knowledge to even understand what I had been using. The lovely owner Pamela, explained to me in detail (she has the patience of a saint) and after me asking a hella lot of questions I was on the road to skin recovery.

L’Oréal Pure Clay Masks

The craze of face masks has taken an entirely new level thanks to L’Oréal and their new Pure Clay Masks. I was in Boots during the week and seen that they had an offer on them, each mask is currently £5 each which is an absolute bargain. I initially picked up the Purity and Glowing products but ended up going back for the Detox mask as I wanted to try out all three. Each one has a different job to do regarding your skin. I’ve tried all of them and even though it’s still very early days I’m pleasantly surprised with how my skin feels. I already have a strong skincare regime (you can read it here) but I was missing that extra step in my routine to give me skin some TLC.
