Style Spotlight: Anne Hathaway

Ever since her “Devil Wears Prada” days, I have become a huge fan of Anne Hathaway. Her latest role in the “Batman” movie made me think to myself, “Why the hell haven’t I included this girl in my Style Spotlight”?!

I love the backless look. Whether it’s dresses, tops or even jumpsuits, I just love it. As love as it’s done in the right way then it can be the most seductive look in the fashion world. I love how the dress hugs her body shape and allows her curves to stand out. Sometimes I’m hesitant when it comes to big shoulders, but I really like it on her dress. Gives it more of a structured look. Tis fab!

Another gold number. She reminds me of a mermaid here, but a stunning one. I love the two different textures on the dress. The fish tail is covered in large sequins and slowly changes into delicate beading on the bodice.

This is actually my favourite look. It screams Chanel! I love bold prints and fabrics more so than the simple look. The cream based colour with the black and grey detailing throughout it is perfect. It’s quite the ladylike dress and perfect for Ms Hathaway as that is her style. The classic point stiletto is my favourite. It’s were the heel first began and it’s still standing strong today.

Hope you all enjoyed your bank holiday weekend!

Style Spotlight: Dianna Agron

I’m not a huge fan of the television show ‘Glee’, but I am certainly a fan of the beautiful Dianna Agron. To me, she is like a modern-day version of America’s Sweetheart. From pretty midi’s to gorgeous gowns, she’s a singing success. (Pardon the pun.)

This is my ideal cocktail dress. Two key trends I love in fashion are bold colours and embellishments. They’re just stunning and guaranteed to add some spectacular glamour to any look. The soft base colour of the dress allows the colours and embellishments to really stand out.

In this next look, Dianna has added some drama to the classic midi with this seductive plunging neckline and smokey eye. I love how she has added some volume and mess to her hair, it still includes her youthful personality and gives it some edge.

When Ms Agron first rocked the red carpet in this frock, a lot of people didn’t like it. For some reason these days I am loving the huge over the top ball gowns and the toilet doll look. (Think back to my Paloma Faith post.) I adore lace and anything to do with it. As she is a slim girl, I think the layered look gives her some curves. With her hair in a updo, it allows the dress to do the talking.

It’s so depressing to be back home, the weather is horrible. I keep getting my “This time last week I was…” flashbacks. I think it might be time to start planning my next trip. Have fun!

Style Spotlight: Paloma Faith

Paloma Faith reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor minus the husbands and plastic surgery. Her outrageous and daring style is a magnificent reflection of her confident and vibrant personality. My Style Spotlight posts have been MIA the past while, but I knew that when it returned, I would go out with a bang. And who better than Ms Faith.

How cute! This beautiful coat reminds me of a very stylish Winter in New York and for some reason Judy Garland. Like a ‘Meet Me In St Louis’ kind of way. (My mind can’t help but dream). Paired with cute little bow ankle boots and a very fabulous green feathered headpiece, it’s certainly a winner. The green gives the coat a pop of colour and would be sure to brighten up any day.

Look at those stunning shoes! I adore mary jane’s especially when they come in this stunning light blue shade. The colours in this outfit work perfectly with each other. The fringe detailing gives the look a little movement and adds some fun into it. She continues to inject her vintage vibe into her look by pairing it with a fierce crocodile handbag and velvet jacket. Love it!

Oh my word! This is amazing! Now some of you may disagree but I think it’s über fabulous! It reminds me of a mixture of the Queen of Hearts meets one of those dolls that sit on top of your granny’s toilet. And I mean that in the nicest way possible. Even the colour of her hair matches the dress. It’s magnificent. People might think I mad, but well done Paloma, well done.

I definitely think this post was a very good start for the Style Spotlight return. If any of you gals would like to see your favourite style icon in one my posts. Let me know. Have fun!

Style Spotlight: Leighton Meester

Leighton Meester. Gossip Girl’s scene stealer has her finger on fashion. When it comes to style I love how she has fun with it and never wears the same style twice. Hence why she is this week’s Style Spotlight. I’m a huge Gossip Girl fan and to be honest, anything that involves style and New York then I’m on board!

Now, all of you ladies know just how much I adore my leathers. So obviously I’m in love with this outfit. The colour of the blouse and shoes work perfectly with leathers. She looks like she is glowing and I can’t fault this look one little bit. Stunning.

Leighton Meester

Wow! This girl gives Angelina Jolie a run for her money when it comes to flashing the leg. (At least Leighton’s doesn’t look as prosthetic as Ms Jolie’s!) The delicate detailing in this dress is so pretty. For the past few months, I have been obsessed with long sleeves. They’re so elegant and just beautiful.

Leighton Meester

Niamh + Embellishment + Chiffon = Best Friends Forever! (I had to throw in my 12-year-old moment) This fabulous dress is the ultimate winner. From the length to the ruffles, it is amazing. The colour is stunning. I love how she isn’t “flashing the flesh” yet still manages to look sexy. The delicate detailing adds glamour to the look. Cute, cute ,cute!

Hope you ladies are having a fab week! Bring on Friday for some party cocktails!

Style Spotlight: Kate Beckinsale

She had me at Pearl Harbour. The stunning Kate Beckinsale is this week’s (and extremely belated) Style Spotlight. I’ve always been a huge fan of the actress but not only for her acting. Her style is timeless, elegant and perfect.

How utterly fabulous is Ms Beckinsale in this jumpsuit?! Is it just me or does she look like Jennifer Lopez in this pose? My two favourite piece’s about this jumpsuit (apart from the obvious stunning pink colour) is the one shoulder design and the skinny trouser. Sometimes I feel wide leg jumpsuits from the 70’s belong in that decade and can look awful in today’s style. Also, Kate usually opts for neutrals or black so it’s great to see her go for something bold and bright.

Kate Beckinsale

Hollywood glamour at its best. I am head over heel’s in love with this dress, particularly the length, it’s stunning and makes her legs look fabulous. The large Louboutin platforms add even more height to her frame as the hem does run quite far down her legs. It’s seriously stunning.

Kate Beckinsale

One trend I adore is bold tribal prints. When I saw this dress, my heart skipped a beat. It is magnificent. Now it may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s a winner in my book. The figure hugging style compliments every inch of her body and screams goddess.

Kate Beckinsale

This next look is huge at the minute. The sexy satin and Grecian look is the perfect combination for summer. This saucy mini will show your tanned legs and make you feel confident from head to toe. I love how the black has been added into the cream to make it pop. Again, we are starting to see just how much Kate loves the one shoulder look. (And with that perfect bone structure, can you blame her?!)

Kate Beckinsale

It has been a while since I have been able to post a Style Spotlight, but I’m hoping you’ll enjoy this one. For me, it’s one of my top Spotlight’s to date. Hope you’re all enjoying the amazing weather.
