It’s been a little while now since I’ve been home and I can honestly say it has taken me this long to get myself back on track. As previously mentioned I had a tough time settling back in but now I’m finally moving forward. I was quite reluctant to share my East and West Coast photo diaries as I was wanting to focus on other things however I know there are some of you who wanted me to share my images (you can find my daily travel adventures at the time over on my Instagram). I had imagined taking a huge variety of photographs all while appreciating these beautiful places in real life but due to weather in certain places (hello New York ) and the fact that I want to keep some of those memories private – I am just going to share a few from each location with you.
As I was putting together some new travel posts from my recent trip I thought I would talk about a few things before publishing them. Nothing serious but I wanted to share some thoughts and goals I have for the rest of 2017 and hopefully early 2018. Without sounding like a broken record I’ve went through major changes in most areas of my life within the past few years. I’ve recently spent a lot of time focusing on myself and ticking off huge goals from my bucket list.
It’s 3.08am and I’m wide awake, filled with all kinds of emotions thanks to my good friend, jet lag. My body and mind never seem to respond well to it – sometimes it’s just a case of sleeping for 25 hours straight and other times it’s a little more complicated. This bout seems a little tougher to shift and rightly so as I’ve just returned from a trip of a lifetime – one that has changed me for the better. I honestly had no idea that I would have experienced an adventure quite like this one or have met such genuine and life long friends that I’ll forever cherish. To be honest I’ve found it quite tough settling back in as I miss my hectic/carefree travel routine, roadtrips to the most random places in America, acting like an absolute idiot with the most amazing people I know and just never knowing what is around the corner at our next pit stop. Leaving reality behind and roadtripping across the States was by far the best decision I’ve ever made. From drinking Moonshine whiskey in Knoxville at 10am to eating Pizza on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon – it was a bucket list adventure without a doubt.
Whenever you know you’ve a holiday coming up it’s the small things that you often forget about. I tend to write a checklist of various things I need to book in for. From taking care of my travel documents to making appointments for some beauty upkeep – it can be a busy time prepping. Trying to book in for appointments can be a little frustrating as you’ve limited time with work commitments etc and it’s more or less impossible to block book appointments or your day.
Now that I’m gently easing myself back into the blogging business, I wanted to share a collection of my favourite looks for Summer. I’ve hand picked my top choices from various high street brands that I feel will make you feel hotter this season. I don’t know what it is but when Summer starts I immediately go on a major wardrobe revamping especially now that I’m off on my travels in July.
I just get so excited when it comes to Summer shopping and I can often feel very overwhelmed particularly when it comes to shopping online. I’m like a big kid in a sweet shop and my eyes become bigger than my belly making it a little stressful at times. If you’re anything like me then I thought that it might be helpful for me to put together my top picks to give all you of somewhat of an idea.
