Soooo the last time we spoke (my blogging pattern is now laughable, I know!), I was talking about how I wanted to make some changes in my life and start working towards my goals. I last published a blog post in December and since then I’ve proudly ticked off some major goals. I spoke about how I wanted to accomplish certain things in life which were quite particular as well as general. A somewhat realistic collection of various goals I hoped to achieve before/while I’m thirty (you can read it here). I did indulge in that BIG trip to celebrate turning thirty (hellooo Texas), and it’s safe to say that the celebrations continued for a few weeks after!
The latest addiction (and replacement of Margaret Zhang) to Fashion Bloggers TV has made quite an impact to the blogger scene with her boyish charms and impeccable style. Nadia Fairfax from Fairfax Journal is a petite gymnast who has turned her love of the sport into a career by combining her personal style into the mix. Her elegant manner shines through her photographs throughout her blog and social media accounts. Not only does she have the opportunity to rub shoulders with Australia’s finest but she has now made a name for herself across the pond.
Like I’ve previously mentioned, she is part of the hit TV show and my personal favourite, Fashion Bloggers. She filled the space of another blogging phenomenon, Margaret Zhang when she left the show to focus on her career. I’m not one for change, even when it comes to my essential programmes! After her first feature I quickly grew to adore her.
She has quite a laid back style with a feisty personality. Her look is fresh with a hint of playful prints and beautifully structured pieces. Nadia does love the basis, as do we all and her effortless beauty make her all the more appealing as a person. Of course, finding that perfect backdrop and working with a professional photographer will be sure to make your blog appealing to every woman with a heartbeat.
Any girl who enjoys a good cocktail or two certainly deserves a mention on the blog. I think it is essential as a woman to indulge in the odd ‘sampling’ of delicious, refreshing and often strong drinks. My excuse is that these kind of beverages make for a good photo/Instagram opportunity!
Just like her co-star Sara Donaldson, Ms. Fairfax is a fellow shoe addict with an impressive collection. Every girl needs a selection of strong styles that can carry you through each season from fairy sandals to colour block beauties. I particularly adore Nadia’s magnificent tan wired pair of fabulous peep toe sandals. The thick wrap around lace makes them the perfect shoe for each season, hell I would wear these beauties to bed if I owned them.
I hope you’re all enjoying my ‘Inspirational Blogger’ series as much as I am. If there are any fashion, beauty or lifestyle bloggers you would like to see featured on my blog feel free to let me know.
Ever since the reality TV show, Fashion Bloggers wowed us creative and style loving people, the spotlight has moved to Australian based bloggers. They are taking the blogasphere by storm and I’m excited to share my latest inspirational blogger with all of you.
Melanie blogs about Australian fashion and beauty lifestyle. Starting up The Tia Fox in March 2014, she has launched to great success. As a blogger, I know how hard it can be to make a name for yourself, it doesn’t happen over night. So for Melanie to build herself and her blog to an international level within one year is magnificent. I envy Melanie for her breathtaking beauty, chic style and the fact that she lives in Australia. I believe that it is healthy to have a certain amount of envy. It helps drive us to achieve our own goals and at the end of the day, we are humans with emotions.
Of course, food always plays a large part for me. It is so cliché I know, but it’s part of the blogger lifestyle. Like me, Melanie is an Instagram fanatic and therefore I am a fan of hers. Her feed is full of mouthwatering sweets and treats, picturesque views and a little Oscar De La Renta. Of course there is a touch of Tom Ford beauty thrown in for good measure.
Her own personal style is incredibly chic and girly. Pretty florals, ladylike lace and bold sandals are a winning factor. Her blog is beautifully clean and fresh, her images are pretty cool. When you scroll over them, they zoom around. Nice little touch to her site, especially with the amount of bloggers available today.
How amazing is this Shakuhachi sheer print dress?! I need this beauty in my life!
Hope you all had a pretty weekend.
Ever since I started watching Fashion Bloggers a few weeks ago, I have gained five more bloggers who I find incredibly inspiring. This week I am going to focus on the breathtaking Margaret Zhang from Shine by Three. Her look is one of a classic style, clean cut and chic with a hint of youth.
For those of you who have never heard of Margaret, she is a a writer, stylist, photographer, and creative director based in Sydney, Australia. Since going online within the fashion industry in 2009, Margaret has gone on to work with global houses including NET-A-PORTER, Nike, VISA, Blackberry Ltd, Shopbop, Mulberry, L’OREAL Paris, NOKIA, MATCHES and Swarovski. Through her blog, each post captures Margaret’s personal style, travels, food, Fashion Weeks adventures and beauty day-to-day are well documented on Shine By Three.
Zhang can create so many different looks, as a fashion blogger I know that not everyone can channel a style and make it work. With a detailed eye for style and hard working attitude to blogging, it is no wonder that Margaret has become an international blogging sensation.
Like I’ve said previously, Margaret has been catapulted into style stardom as she is currently featuring on E Online’s latest reality television programme called Fashion Bloggers. Herself and four other Australian based bloggers: Sara Donaldson, Zanita Whittington, Kate Waterhouse and Amanda Shadforth share their ambitions, day to day adventures and tips on how to make it in the world of fashion.
I love a blogger who can create many different looks all while looking fabulous and content in each look. Accessories are huge this season and Margaret is a perfectionist when it comes to styling and photographing her favourite pieces for her various media accounts.
Obviously the obligatory travel and lifestyle shots need to be included. Finding her inner piece, taking in some breathtaking architecture and posing in amongst natures most beautiful backdrops is a daily job for the magnificent Margaret.
I love a well rounded blogger who is not just about looking pretty. Margaret is a keen surfer and a slight tom boy at heart. She often channels a masculine vibe within her style, quite like a young Coco Chanel. It is great how she can inspire others through blogging and working with fellow ladies within the industry.
You can watch Margaret and her fellow Aussie fashion bloggers tonight on E Online tonight at 9pm, I’m so excited!
P.s… Who is excited for the return of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here??? I never know who most of them are but I love watching them freak out over the trials! Haha.
