Over the years I’ve built up a trusty collection of makeup brushes that I either use on a daily basis or specific styles for when I’m going out. When I first started blogging I had a very basic selection of brushes that I used for everything. Looking back I don’t know how I managed it as with experience I find I need certain brushes to create and achieve certain looks. Whether I’m carving out my brow, sculpting my contour or touching up my highlight, I need the correct tools to accomplish a flawless look.
Summer has arrived!!! This phenomenal weather has been INSANE, I could get use to waking up to this sunshine every morning. Talking about sunshine, I wanted to give you all a mini update on my skin. On Wednesday I featured my shocking skin discovery (you can read it here) and already the texture and blemish issues have started to improve. Obviously I’m unable to see the SPF progress but I’m hopeful that my skin is repairing well. I genuinely look forward to my morning and evening skincare routine, I’ve finally taken my skincare serious and I just hope it improves.
This has been a very refreshing week. I’m enjoying some quiet time in the countryside, I’ve also received an exciting invitation and just yesterday I found out that I came runner up in an Argento competition. Not a bad way to start the week! Today’s Instagram post is heavily dominated by delicious food (naturally), beautiful spring walks and of course, makeup. I’ve ordered a huge haul from various brand’s so be prepared for some makeup overload!
Friends, food and fashion – the perfect alliteration in my opinion. Last weekend I indulged in all three as I was very kindly invited along to Deanes at Queens for an afternoon fashion show by German brand, Evelin Brandt. The Lisburn Road based boutique showcased their finest SS16 looks from a collection of designers. As we were in awe of each look, a three main course was beautifully presented to us (I may have ordered a cocktail or two!). Myself and my friend, Ruth from Welcome to Willow Lane enjoyed a good old catch up. We had the pleasure of dining with mum of two blogger, Anna from Blossoming Birds.
A few months ago, I was invited to the fabulous Mal Maison by skincare brands Yon Ka and Image for an evening of drinking some Veuve Clicquot, sampling the wonderful skincare products and nibbling on some delicious cake pops (you can see the products on my Instagram). It was my first time being introduced to the two brands and playing around with the large variety of serums, moisturisers and body creams.
