We’re only mid way through the week and I’m already counting down the hours until Easter arrives and some much needed time off. I have family visiting and I’m beyond excited to spend some quality time with everyone. No doubt I’ll include some grown up juice in the mix for good measure. Haha!
Things have been somewhat busy for me so apologies for the lack of posts. I’ve been quiet on most of my social media accounts but I’m starting to get back into the swing of things. Today is all about my favourite visual platform, Instagram. I’m sharing a variety of my favourite shots from longer than one week ago as I was wanting to feature a post for all of you today.
For Christmas I was beyond excited to open up a gift and see the highly anticipated eyeshadow palette by Gwen Stefani. Her collaboration with Urban Decay has been a huge hit within the beauty world. I recently featured her magnificent monochrome and gold pleated palette on my blog (you can read it here). It includes a variety of neutral matte and shimmer shades along with one or two pops of colour. I’ve been playing around with it and the pay off is delightful. Worth the hype in my opinion.
With the large amount of You Tube channels I watch, over the past month or so there has been a massive amount of hype surrounding two eyeshadow palettes. The spotlight is coming from my American favourites especially due to the fact that the Tarte cosmetics brand is really only accessible in the States. However I have bought any products I own from QVC UK. They have a pretty big selection of Tarte products to choose from and the price point is good in my opinion. For a few months before Christmas, the spotlight was focusing on Gwen Stefani’s collaboration with cult makeup favourite, Urban Decay. The brand is notoriously known for their infamous Naked Palettes and now they have heated things up with a magnificent collaboration with an iconic artist such as Gwen.
One final mini tribute to Christmas, my latest Instagram feature is filled with Christmas trees, cute decor and LOTS of new make up purchases. I was very kindly gifted with some beautiful palettes for Christmas. Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the absolutely beautiful Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay and the Tartelette in Bloom palettes. The UD monochrome packaging is unbelievable and the vibrant Tarte palette is fabulous. (I’m such a sucker for details), the shades are pretty spectacular. I’m getting those good old January blues, (I’m sure I’m not the only one!) I miss all of the sparkle. Although I’m very excited to start 2016 feeling fresh and ready for a new year (as cliché as that sounds). Read More
