Whenever you know you’ve a holiday coming up it’s the small things that you often forget about. I tend to write a checklist of various things I need to book in for. From taking care of my travel documents to making appointments for some beauty upkeep – it can be a busy time prepping. Trying to book in for appointments can be a little frustrating as you’ve limited time with work commitments etc and it’s more or less impossible to block book appointments or your day.
Let’s just say – the month of May was not kind to me! I was so ill for all of it and I also had to get an operation (I was supposed to get two but that’s a story for another day!). I’m thankfully recovering well after a bad turn but now I’m finally back on track and focusing on every Summer! *end of rant* So apart from everything mentioned above I’ve just been taking it easy and building myself back up.
I’m literally laughing to myself with this feature – I could share so many hilarious things I’ll never do again but I need to keep some level of privacy (and respect). I’m without a doubt one of those people who puts their foot in everything, wakes up the morning after a night out with the fear (the only time I don’t appreciate Coldplay!) and has a million embarrassing stories to tell. This post will be a mixture of light hearted goodness with a somewhat serious but positive chat about life lessons. There’s nothing really ground breaking but I enjoy reading these types of posts – therefore I want to share my own.
You may remember that at the start of last summer I shared my experience of living with Chronic Anxiety (you can read it here). It took me quite some time to open up about it as I was feeling embarrassed. Eventually I built up the courage to talk about things and I sought help. Once I received my diagnosis I spent further time building myself back up and moving into a more positive place. After sharing everything with all of you I felt a huge sense of relief and gratitude as you were all so kind.
With the huge hype surrounding beauty guru Nikkie Tutorials and her collaboration with Too Faced it was only natural that I jumped on the band wagon. Now, I know there are people who don’t like associating themselves with YouTube/Blogger collaborations and that’s totally fine. However if I admire people for their artistry, hard work and determination then I will happily support them.
