The weekend has finally arrived! It’s certainly been a busy one between events, birthday’s and a great catch up with my good friend Ruth from Willow Lane. I was recently at the launch of the new KIKO store in Belfast and it was absolutely amazing! If you’re not familiar with the brand it is Italian based and their products are not only incredible but purse friendly! I’ll be featuring them on my blog next week so keep an eye out. So… this week on my Instagram it has been a firm mixture of style, beauty and travel shots. I’ve been featuring lots of my Spanish looks, my ColourPop collection and a colourful photo diary from my recent holiday.
For years now I have been glued to various YouTuber’s such as Kathleenlights, Nikkie Tutorials and Chloe Morello. These US and Australian beauties have been using ColourPop for a while now and my obsession for the brand grew along with their collection. The products were never available for international shipping and it always broke my heart. I adored watching these ladies rave about the products and I was ECSTATIC when they finally started shipping internationally. I quickly ordered an insane amount of makeup and I can honestly say I was never more excited. I had a firm idea of what I wanted and I added some new additions to my basket (I’m sorry I just can’t say cart).
It has been a while since I wore a midi dress like this one. For a few years it just didn’t suit me as I had insecurities with my weight. Not that it was a big issue but it made the dress emphasise my problem areas. Over the past few months my weight has changed and I thought the dress was perfect for my holiday in Spain. It may mainly consist of dark shades but it is such a cool style to wear in the heat. As it’s a pretty dramatic piece I opted for minimal accessories along with my hair and makeup. The purple shades running throughout the dress are absolutely beautiful, they really popped against the sunshine.
Even though I’m glad to see the end of Summer, I have a few more posts from Spain that I need to feature. I feel like I’m under pressure to get them out before they become dated and aren’t relevant to the current season. So what I’m trying to say is expect a lot of summer style posts in the next two weeks! I can’t wait to get back to the cold crisp days, dark nights and good old Irish dinners. The return of the Sunday dinner will be welcomed with open arms. I’ve a few exciting weeks coming up, starting with the highly anticipated launch of the new KIKO store in Belfast. I cannot wait to get a good look at all of the gorgeous products, it’s one of my favourite brands.
Last weekend I spent a few days in my beloved Kerry for the christening of my handsome nephew and Godson. It was a great day celebrating my little rascal and he was so adorable in his gorgeous christening outfit. We were all dressed in our Sunday best for the big day and I wanted to share my look with all of you today. As I was Godmother I wanted to make an extra special effort for my little chipmunk. You couldn’t half spot the city girls with me and my two nieces, no shortage of makeup there! Haha.
