Summer lips with Clarins

I think one of the most important beauty essentials is taking good care of your lips. Not only for kissing (you know it’s true) but I always think that they are the first thing people look at. When your face to face with people they will concentrate on your lips and it’s vitally important that you keep them moist. Cracked lips are not a good look for anyone! Lip balms are a required process on a daily basis, but they don’t have to be the regular clear colour. Clarins have a selection of beautifully scented, magnificently moist and delightfully delicious Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors to play with this Summer. (Can we take a moment to appreciate my alliteration! Haha)

I have to admit, the application of applying a gloss type product makes me really nervous. I hate the stick applicators as they hurt my lips and just leave it feeling messy in my opinion. Another reason why I’m enjoying using these perfectors is the fluffy soft top head. It helps to smooth on the gel easily but holds onto any extra product without overloading your lips.

It’s not your traditional lip balm formula but it is more of a gel texture. I’ve been wearing each of these shades for a few week’s now and they are so handy for adding a little colour to your daytime look or for perfecting that perfect natural glossy lip on a night out. The tint is strong enough to be noticed but soft enough to wear as a lip treatment. It is quite a thick formula but I personally prefer that kind of product. They smell and taste absolutely delicious! I could spend my days eating them more so than wearing them! Haha

If you’re looking for a soft and subtle sunkissed look a tinted lip perfector is definitely the way forward. Do you lovelies have any recommendations for summer lip products? I’d love to hear your favourites.

Last Minute Festive Lovers

There are some people out there, myself included who love leaving their gift shopping until Christmas Eve. Certain factors can contribute to this decision to pound the pavements picking up presents for your friends and loved ones such as work and hangovers. Others just enjoy the last minute dash and picking up some pre sale bargains.

I have tried on endless occasions to get a head start but my post alcohol mood would not allow me. Therefore, today’s post features one high street store that has all things beauty under one roof making the last minute rush a little easier. If you’re shopping for a female who loves lippie, then the hip beauty concession at Topshop has a large variety to choose from and purse friendly prices.

I wanted to take some pretty pictures of the products with my Christmas tree and then I will show you some swatches of them. Okey dokey? ūüėČ

Let the product run through begin! The prettiness is just too much! 💕

OK, so starting with the lipstick pencil or bullet as it is called, this is great for any of your friends or family who are always on the move. I have recently made the switch to purchasing lipsticks in the pencil form as they are incredibly easy to use. Call me lazy, but when I am in a rush, I immediately reach for one. Topshop have a variety of shades to choose from, I personally love a bold lip so I have opted for their ‘Get Me Bodied’ (Beyonce tribute! ) colour. It has a matte finish which I adore and the colour still moisturises your lips when wearing it.

I’m all about a little sparkle during the Christmas holidays. It’s clich√© and I absolutely love it. This gorgeous little tree decoration nail polish would make the perfect gift or stocking filler for a little sister or niece. Again, they come in a variety of shades and are very purse friendly! I have tested it out as a topcoat on my nails, but it can be worn solo if preferred.

Everyone loves a good gift set. For the buyer, it is a sense of a bargain and for the receiver it is a sense of feeling loved with pretty products. This next set that I’m going to show you is now reduced to ¬£6 which is such a steal. The lipstick and blush duo is always a winner during the holiday season. Us ladies love trying out our new products and make up looks for New Year’s Eve. The soft coral blush (head over heels) in this set will complete its partner in crime lipstick in the shade wicked perfectly.

Last but not least, the foundation. I wore this little beauty last weekend to test it out and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. First of all I need to talk about the silk finish. My god it felt amazing! I honestly have never felt a foundation leave this feeling on my skin. It was heaven. The coverage is medium build but with an almost no make up look. It feels incredibly light in the skin and would make a great gift for those who are just starting out or prefer the ‘no make up look’. I didn’t swatch the foundation as everyone’s skin tone is different.

Have I helped you last minute shoppers out? I hope I have. If you do head to Topshop to pick up some these of these products, you’ll be happy to hear that a few on them are on sale! 😋

Can you believe that it is Christmas Eve already! I’ll not be blogging for a few days over festive season, a much needed break is essential. However, stay tuned to my Instagram where you can view all of my daily happenings and the odd glass of Prosecco!

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for all of your love and support over the year, you really are the best! ‚̧

By Terry

As the saying goes, “A Sunday well spent brings a week of content”. I spent my day browsing around beauty heaven, Space NK and picked up a product that I have been lusting over for a while now. I also managed to squeeze in a mouthwatering caramel hot chocolate, perfect end to my weekend.

By Terry’s lip balm is widely known within the beauty industry and fellow bloggers as a piece of heaven. Now, it’s a high end piece of heaven given the fact that it costs ¬£38, but I figured I deserved a treat. On Saturday I took a bad allergic reaction and I was rewarding myself for my bravery. When I was in the States I searched for this balm but couldn’t find it, not even realising that it was on my very own doorstep at Space NK.

Within the collection, you can pick between six shades, I chose the Baume De Rose as it is best suited to my skin tone. The shades will slightly tint your lips, however if you prefer a completely natural colour, then opt for the clear balm.

I have to admit that I am incredibly excited about my latest beauty purchase. I tested the balm on my lips when I was in store and gave it a little time to settle. I was pleasantly surprised at how moist my lips were. The delicate rose tint gave me some colour and the smell was devine. Although priced at ¬£38, I would like to think it would impress me. It is an intensely nourishing treatment that acts as a salve for both lips and cuticles. My lips have been dry due to the Winter weather and I’m hoping that this miracle balm will repair, nourish and revitalise my lips. It felt deeply hydrating when on so I know I’m onto a winner.

I took my time before purchasing this product due to the price point. I had watched various beauty bloggers on their YouTube channels as they always give an honest opinion. I also read some details about the infamous balm at Space NK online.

lipo-regenerating complex made from rose flower essential wax and pastel oil to boost cell renewal. The soothing and healing powers of shea butter leave lips feeling deliciously smooth, while ceramides and vitamin E help to protect and fortify this delicate area against the signs of ageing. This ultra nourishing salve also doubles as a strengthening treatment for cuticles, simply massage in and let the creamy, soothing formula work its magic.”

I officially welcome Winter and its elements to try and chap my lips. As long as I have this balm buttering me up, I will be good to go!
