I’ve committed a Sin

Just wanted to upload a quick beauty post featuring my favourite new lipstick from none other than MAC. You lovelies may have already seen my picture of me wearing it over on my Instagram. For so long, I’ve been hearing so much talk about the brand and their lipstick,Sin from fellow beauty bloggers. I’m a huge fan of a bold lip, the darker the better. I actually can’t believe that I’m only getting round to purchasing this fabulous shade now, but I guess it’s the perfect time really as I’ll be constantly wearing it this season.

It’s from their matte collection and ut wears so well. It gives unbelievable coverage and does not budge. I even had food and drinks while wearing it so in order to test it out. Obviously, I wore a similar coloured lip pencil with it to emphasise the line of my lip and give it a great base to work with.

I’m so excited to wear this, it’s definitely my go to colour for this season! Hope you are all having a great week. Just thought I would upload an image detailing exactly how I feel today. Happy Friday! ♥

MAC Haul

When that Debenhams beauty card statement comes in, things can become a little dangerous. When I see that reward, I immediately start to shop in my head.

I thought it was about time I treated myself to a MAC haul. I knew I wanted to purchase a concealer as I’ve heard so much about their Pro Long Wear. And in the mist of all this, I also purchased a lipstick and paint pot.

image

Starting with the concealer, I originally went in with the hope of buying the Pro Long Wear product. However, after trying it on, the very helpful assistant and I both agreed that it was not best suited for me. Instead I opted for their Prep + Prime highlighter in Bright Forecast. I’ve only been using it for a few days now, but I do like it so far. It’s not as heavy as their Pro Long Wear, but, it still provides me with good coverage.

Next up, I have this pro long wear paint pot in Painterly. It’s such a beautiful natural shade that acts as a perfect base colour. You can wear it on its own or under a smokey eye. I originally wanted a concealer for my top eye, but, the lovely assistant suggested this. I’m so happy that she did, again I’ve been wearing this since I got it and I’m absolutely loving it. It helps cover my dark eyes and gives me a more matte finish. Oh, please ignore the used marks on my pot. I forgot to photograph it before I used it. (That’s how excited I was!)

Finally, I have the mother of all summer shades to share with you all. I actually asked the girl what she was wearing as I was head over heels in love with the colour. It’s from their matte lipstick collection and it’s called Flat Out Fabulous. The title alone for me was enough to make me buy it, but the colour is out of this world. ♥

For today, I’m just sharing my purchases with you. In a few weeks time, I’ll do a post of them on me. Hope you all had an amazing weekend!

The Beauty of Michael Kors

Just over a week ago, the House of Fraser at Victoria Square, welcomed the very fabulous Michael Kors beauty counter to their large variety of established cosmetic brands.

I am a huge Michael Kors fan, so you can imagine my excitement. It’s only the third MK beauty counter within the UK and HoF at Victoria Square was the lucky chosen one for its latest location.

I was invited down to browse the counter and sample some of his fabulous products. The lovely, Gemma gave me a guided tour and tested each piece on me. I can honestly say that I was overwhelmed at first by the rich gold packaging and glamorous lipsticks, nail polishes, glosses, perfumes and body butters. After testing out the third perfume, Gold Jasmine, I quickly settled in. The counter itself is a fabulous rich gold throughout with chic print chairs and complimentary lighting for the products. It’s a bold statement, but, it represents everything that the Michael Kors brand represents.

The lovely Gemma also gave me a fabulous goodie bag to take home. To say I was spoilt rotten is a slight understatement. Within the bag, I was given a bottle of perfume in Gold Amber, a beautiful blush called Flush, two bottles of nail polish, lipgloss and lipstick. The perfume is absolutely delicious smelling, it reminds me of being on my holidays. I tested out all products yesterday and I fell in love with the lipstick and gloss.

The vibrancy of the polishes and lip products are unbelievable. They are the perfect shades for this season, although I would happily wear them throughout the year. The moisture from the lipstick is fabulous and it sits beautifully throughout the day. Once the gloss is applied it makes the colour pop perfectly!

I haven’t got round to properly wearing the blusher, I only tested out a tiny tab at the counter. Although, from what I tried, I was impressed. To me, it feels and looks like a combination of blusher and a highlighter. It’s a nice soft shade with still a hint of a prominent colour.

Thank you so much to Mark, Vinni and Gemma for looking after me, I had such a great time. Happy Friday guys and girls. Have a fabulous weekend.

Oh La La!

When I visit Topshop, I usually just browse around the clothes and accessories department. However during the week I came across an Instagram post with an beautiful lipstick shade from their make up section.

The name and packaging are enough to make me purchase it. The coral colour is called Oh La La and it is the perfect shade for this season.

image

Like I said, I absolutely adore the packaging for the lipstick. It’s a very chic and clean tube and it makes the colour even more appealing.

The lipstick itself is quite moisturising and when applied you can give yourself as much coverage as you wish. My first coat was quite natural with a hint of colour. After another two coats it was such a bold and vibrant shade, it would be perfect for a night out. Although because I’m testing it out during the day, I opted for a more natural look.

I have to say that I’m very impressed with this lipstick. I honestly never would have went to Topshop to buy make up. For the bargain price of £8, it is the now an essential piece in my daily make up routine. ♥

Good Girl Gone MAC

If I’m honest, I’ve never been a huge fan of Rihanna. I don’t have a problem with her, but, I wouldn’t be in a rush to go see her in concert. However, with that said, I have become a fan of her latest make up collaboration with MAC cosmetics.

MAC at Debenhams were giving customers a £5 gift card when you spent over £30. At first, I only buying my ‘Copper Sparkle’ pigmented eyeshadow.

The next thing I knew the pretty assistant was hooking me up with ‘RiRi’s’ latest lipstick piece. ♥

The fabulous warm shade is the perfect edition to my make up collection for this summer. I love the mixture of colours in it, it’s a kind of red and orange topped off with a gold sparkle.

There is a lot of moisture with this lipstick, a good primer and lip pencil is essential for adding the finishing touches. ♥

I’m sure you’re all aware that the large majority of MAC collaborations sell out fast, so don’t hang around!

And so the weekend is finally here! 🙂
