Beauty Edit: The Brow Artisan

Eyebrows – the bane of my soul. I’ve NEVER been blessed in this department and even when I go for over a year without grooming them .. THEY. DO. NOT. GROW. They cause me great upset as all I long for in life is a set of brows without bald patches, ones that can hold a tint for more than a day and don’t look like two little swimmers. When I first started working with the lovely PR folks at Benefit Cosmetics, I had shared my distress regarding my uneven caterpillars/swimmers and the lovely Mark kick started my brow journey. After a *long* chat about them, he sent me in the direction of their brow bar – enter the beautifully, talented Giannina. After working her magic over the years on my little rascals she has now proudly open her own exclusive brow boutique in the heart of the Lisburn Road.

Nailing It At Christmas

A few days before the Christmas period, I took a trip to visit the lovely Alica from Bliss Beauty Room. To be honest, I’m not usually one for getting my nails ‘did’, however this year I thought I’d give it a go and I’m happy that I did.

Even though the polish had not been applied at this point, I can’t help but love this nude and natural colour.

I opted for a deep Christmas red colour for obvious reasons. I’m surprised at how easy the nails are to manage and I love the colour, it goes with everything. They feel as light as a feather and are extremely comfortable to wear.

I’m definitely going to continue maintaining them. It’s safe to say I’ve become addicted! ūüôā

Thanks Alicia for my beautiful nails ‚ô•

Life‚Äôs Better with Fashion

A few weeks ago, myself and a few of the FABB gals (Laurina, Rosanna, Ruth and Louise) had the pleasure of attending a quirky style event hosted by none other than our FABB mama bear, Ms Katrina Doran.

Us ladies and fellow Metro passengers enjoyed a special ticketed Translink journey on how to make life better with fashion guru Katrina from Sugahfix. This special journey was one in a series organised by Translink to support the launch of its Life’s better campaign.

It all started at the bus station at the Europa Hotel where we were then taken on a stylish adventure up the Lisburn Road. We were introduced to each and every boutique that is a must see for any fashionista.

Stunning models Ashleigh Coyle and Rebecca Maguire entertained us with a brave catwalk show on a moving bus! After a brief stop and shop in Harrisons boutique we headed back to base.

The collection of clothes and accessories on show were just breath taking. They would be perfect for the festive party season!

Honestly the event was great fun and it was refreshing to attend one that wasn’t your average fashion show. ‚ô•
