Inspirational Blogger || Emma Hill

Continuing on from last week’s Inspirational Blogger series, today’s post is yet another stylish one that features another favourite blogger of mine, Emma Hill from EJ Style. Ms. Hill is a London stylist and blogger who shares her daily looks against the beautiful and classic London town houses. She is a girl after my own heart as she loves a fab handbag and shoe addiction, nothing wrong with that.

Judging from her personal style shots, Emma loves a neutral colour palette. I’ve found that this season I’m all about the basics, there is something so therapeutic about keeping things simple and breaking away from my usual bold prints and vibrant colours. Those mustard culottes are an absolute dream and beautiful paired with a simple white top and neutral accessories.

Like I’ve previously said, I enjoy a girl who has a thing for shoes. For me, it makes checking out her blog and social media accounts all the more enjoyable. Emma is definitely on point when it comes to wearing the hottest footwear styles available. The snake skin print is an absolute must have for the Autumn season, very seventies appropriate. Can we also just take a moment to appreciate her fabulous Chanel espadrilles?!

Now onto the handbags! I go through phases when it comes to updating my collection. One season I’m all for focusing on purchasing new pieces and for months after I’ll not give them a thought. The fact that Emma has treated herself to a much sought after Chloé bag tells me that the girl has some seriously impressive taste! (Again, moment of appreciation for the Gucci and Chanel boy).

As usual the Instagram game always has to be strong. Funny cards, beautiful flatlays, travelling diaries and detailed shots are all featured in Emma’s Instagram account. She has such a pretty theme throughout and I always look forward to her next post.

Inspirational Blogger || A Fashion Fix

Like I said in my Instagram post on Wednesday, last week I took a tiny break from blogging to recharge my batteries. I missed sharing my ‘Inspirational Blogger’ series with all of you and therefore I’m so excited to showcase my latest beauty with all of you today.

Today’s inspiration comes from a young personal shopper for Topshop named Hannah Crosskey. Based in London, her live revolves around all things fashion and shares this through her style diary, A Fashion Fix.

The only way I can describe Hannah in my own opinion is ‘London Chic’. The large majority of her shots consist of beautiful London town houses, Autumn kissed city locations and the very polite brunching treats. A girl after my own heart when food and fashion is combined. I’m also a softy for the cliché flower caption, naturally I have become obsessed with her blog.

This may sound silly, but I admire bloggers who can style a variety of outfits and always look confidence and fabulous when wearing them, especially in front of a camera. You’re probably all thinking that as a blogger myself, it would be a given that I do the same, but my confidence has taken a dip over the last year. I don’t feel good at the minute going into my wardrobe and pulling together looks to share on my blog. As much as I am excited to style a look for all of you, I would rather wait until I’m in a more happier place (is happier even a word?!) and feel strong and confident enoughbto get back into the game full speed. Anywho, back to Hannah!

How amazing are her looks? I particularly adore the burgundy two piece suit and Nike crop top, a brave but bold look.

As a blogger, getting the opportunity to rub shoulders with fellow stylish internet geeks is always a treat. Hannah has had the opportunity to travel to various Fashion Week’s and meet other lovely bloggers. It is so good to have your hard work and effort for blogging recognised by well known fashion brands such as, ASOS and Topshop.

As always, I have to include a few of the obligatory Instagram shots. The Christmas Starbucks #FromWhereIStand image is always a popular one this time of year, along with a organizer and gift guide images. I love a good cliché! 😉

Happy Friday to one and all. Hope you enjoyed this weeks post, don’t forget to check out Hannah’s blog.

Thanks for all of your support, you’re the best! ❤

House of Fraser AW13 Press Launch, London

Back in May, I was invited to attend the House of Fraser’s AW13 press preview in their fabulous showroom in the heart of London town. It may have been summer then, but, already leading fashion superstore, House of Fraser, had already set in motion the exclusive preview for their AW13 collection and I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of it.

image

The lovely Mark invited myself and the adorable Mags over to London for the day to browse their upcoming collection and I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh each fashion label looked. Usually, the autumn/winter months consist of black and grey colours from high street stores, but, the House of Fraser continued to inject some vibrant colours and bold prints into their collections.

Also on offer was lots of fabulous embellished necklaces, handbags and clothes from Biba. I got a real Gatsby vibe from their collection with stunning rich colours, heavy embellishment and statement pieces that would be the perfect edition to your wardrobe.

As I’ve said, Biba took fashion notes from the 1920’s and it  was like a scene from The Great Gatsby. I was elbow deep in the collection and absolutely loving it. Having recently seen the film, I’m now even more obsessed with the ‘Roaring 20’s’ era and Biba have nailed it for the upcoming autumn/winter season.

Mary Portas is a personal favourite of mine, particularly her collections for the HoF, and I’m beyond excited to get my hands on some of her pieces to help update my AW wardrobe.

I fell head over heels in love with this stunning shirt that immediately went to the top of my ‘Wish List’. There are still elements from her previous collection with regards to some of her dresses and shirts, but I’m more than happy with that.

Linear also had an amazing collection of clothing on offer for the coming AW13. I absolutely loved the stunning array of colours that this fabulous clothing line had to offer. Bold prints, classic stripes and timeless jackets are all available from their collection.

As soon as I set eyes on this stunning white and black polka dot shirt and dress by Untold, I immediately feel in love. I featured it in my Irish News column a few weeks ago. I love how it clashes the dress and shirt together. I get a real ladylike vibe from it, but, by adding the shirt, it gives off a real unique and vintage feel. It looks fabulous worn as a two piece, but, if you want to dress it up for a night out, then wear the dress on its own with a deep cherry lip. 🙂

Now it’s onto the handbags. I’ve always been a huge fan of Lulu Guinness and I was delighted to see her latest AW collection at the House of Fraser press show. I love how quirky her pieces are yet they still represent her classic style and colours.

Thanks to Mark and the House of Fraser for inviting me over to a fabulous launch. I’m excited to treat myself to a collection of stunning clothes and accessories from their talented designers.
