Marc Jacobs Beauty

It’s been a while since I featured a nail post and I thought who else to blog about that the icon that is, Marc Jacobs. When I was in New York last year I spent quite a bit of time in Sephora. The American designers are so purse friendly in the states, I think this polish only cost around $18. I featured it last week in my Autumn essentials post (you can read it here). Today I decided to share a swatch of me wearing it for all of you lovelies.

I always use a touch of my Nails Inc favourite, 45 Second Top Coat. It’s enriched with caviar and leaves a beautiful wet look finish. They’re the perfect combination in my opinion, my favourite colour for Autumn. The pigmentation is good as you do only need two coats, pretty standard for a polish but I just hate when you need to apply endless amounts to get a decent shade.

I get roughly around five days out of the polish without a chip which I find pretty impressive. I could probably get longer wear with the polish but I like to freshen it up every so often.

I hope you’re all buzzing with that Friday feeling. Enjoy your weekend and I will see you all in my next post.

Last Minute Festive Lovers

There are some people out there, myself included who love leaving their gift shopping until Christmas Eve. Certain factors can contribute to this decision to pound the pavements picking up presents for your friends and loved ones such as work and hangovers. Others just enjoy the last minute dash and picking up some pre sale bargains.

I have tried on endless occasions to get a head start but my post alcohol mood would not allow me. Therefore, today’s post features one high street store that has all things beauty under one roof making the last minute rush a little easier. If you’re shopping for a female who loves lippie, then the hip beauty concession at Topshop has a large variety to choose from and purse friendly prices.

I wanted to take some pretty pictures of the products with my Christmas tree and then I will show you some swatches of them. Okey dokey? 😉

Let the product run through begin! The prettiness is just too much! 💕

OK, so starting with the lipstick pencil or bullet as it is called, this is great for any of your friends or family who are always on the move. I have recently made the switch to purchasing lipsticks in the pencil form as they are incredibly easy to use. Call me lazy, but when I am in a rush, I immediately reach for one. Topshop have a variety of shades to choose from, I personally love a bold lip so I have opted for their ‘Get Me Bodied’ (Beyonce tribute! ) colour. It has a matte finish which I adore and the colour still moisturises your lips when wearing it.

I’m all about a little sparkle during the Christmas holidays. It’s cliché and I absolutely love it. This gorgeous little tree decoration nail polish would make the perfect gift or stocking filler for a little sister or niece. Again, they come in a variety of shades and are very purse friendly! I have tested it out as a topcoat on my nails, but it can be worn solo if preferred.

Everyone loves a good gift set. For the buyer, it is a sense of a bargain and for the receiver it is a sense of feeling loved with pretty products. This next set that I’m going to show you is now reduced to £6 which is such a steal. The lipstick and blush duo is always a winner during the holiday season. Us ladies love trying out our new products and make up looks for New Year’s Eve. The soft coral blush (head over heels) in this set will complete its partner in crime lipstick in the shade wicked perfectly.

Last but not least, the foundation. I wore this little beauty last weekend to test it out and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. First of all I need to talk about the silk finish. My god it felt amazing! I honestly have never felt a foundation leave this feeling on my skin. It was heaven. The coverage is medium build but with an almost no make up look. It feels incredibly light in the skin and would make a great gift for those who are just starting out or prefer the ‘no make up look’. I didn’t swatch the foundation as everyone’s skin tone is different.

Have I helped you last minute shoppers out? I hope I have. If you do head to Topshop to pick up some these of these products, you’ll be happy to hear that a few on them are on sale! 😋

Can you believe that it is Christmas Eve already! I’ll not be blogging for a few days over festive season, a much needed break is essential. However, stay tuned to my Instagram where you can view all of my daily happenings and the odd glass of Prosecco!

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for all of your love and support over the year, you really are the best! ❤

The Beauty of Michael Kors

Just over a week ago, the House of Fraser at Victoria Square, welcomed the very fabulous Michael Kors beauty counter to their large variety of established cosmetic brands.

I am a huge Michael Kors fan, so you can imagine my excitement. It’s only the third MK beauty counter within the UK and HoF at Victoria Square was the lucky chosen one for its latest location.

I was invited down to browse the counter and sample some of his fabulous products. The lovely, Gemma gave me a guided tour and tested each piece on me. I can honestly say that I was overwhelmed at first by the rich gold packaging and glamorous lipsticks, nail polishes, glosses, perfumes and body butters. After testing out the third perfume, Gold Jasmine, I quickly settled in. The counter itself is a fabulous rich gold throughout with chic print chairs and complimentary lighting for the products. It’s a bold statement, but, it represents everything that the Michael Kors brand represents.

The lovely Gemma also gave me a fabulous goodie bag to take home. To say I was spoilt rotten is a slight understatement. Within the bag, I was given a bottle of perfume in Gold Amber, a beautiful blush called Flush, two bottles of nail polish, lipgloss and lipstick. The perfume is absolutely delicious smelling, it reminds me of being on my holidays. I tested out all products yesterday and I fell in love with the lipstick and gloss.

The vibrancy of the polishes and lip products are unbelievable. They are the perfect shades for this season, although I would happily wear them throughout the year. The moisture from the lipstick is fabulous and it sits beautifully throughout the day. Once the gloss is applied it makes the colour pop perfectly!

I haven’t got round to properly wearing the blusher, I only tested out a tiny tab at the counter. Although, from what I tried, I was impressed. To me, it feels and looks like a combination of blusher and a highlighter. It’s a nice soft shade with still a hint of a prominent colour.

Thank you so much to Mark, Vinni and Gemma for looking after me, I had such a great time. Happy Friday guys and girls. Have a fabulous weekend.

Superdrug Beauty Haul

Last night I took a quick trip into Superdrug to shop up on a few of my essentials and take advantage of their festive offers.

I love the beauty brand, Bourjois, so I was over the moon when they had a 3 for 2 offer across all of the beauty collection. With this offer I got their 123 foundation corrector, a natural base eye shadow and a pretty pink lip crayon.

I also decided to stock up on my favourite red nail polish by Rimmel and the amazing backcomb dust by TRESemmè.

I’m a secret geek who finds joy in grabbing a good offer so couldn’t resist sharing. Enjoy! 😉
