My Week On Instagram

There is a very Autumnal theme in this week’s Instagram post. I’ve been busy shooting some fresh outfits for all of you, I’ve even went on a little adventure and shot an OOTD on a very beautiful beach (you can read it here). Over the past week, I’ve had a few new beauty products to try and two in particular that I’ve been loving is the L’Oreal matte foundation and the Clarins lip oil. The foundation is marvelously matte and such a lightweight feel for an everyday look. The price is obviously appealing (£7.99 in Superdrug) and the lasting power is pretty impressive, a small touch up to my nose and T – zone is all that is needed.

I’ve mentioned on my Instagram that I’ve been testing out the Clarins lip oil and I’m really impressed. The honey shade is so hydrating on the lips and I hope that it helps combat my dryness during Winter. I put a balm on every day and night and sometimes they can still feel that little bit dry. Here’s hoping!

My Week On Instagram ❤

Can you believe it’s the middle of the week already?! September has been going by so fast for me but I don’t mind as I absolutely love Autumn (as you already know!). Halloween is my favourite time of the year so I enjoy the countdown and any excuse to start watching Hocus Pocus. Yes, I’m aware that I’m a big kid at heart. I know I’ve previously mentioned this but for those of you who are new to my blog, last year I was extremely lucky to spend it in Salem so this year I will be reminiscing.

Anywho, this weekend I’m off to Dublin for a very special event that I cannot wait to share with all of you. Keep an eye on my Instagram for immediate details. If you don’t have it then stay tuned here on my blog.

#NYFW Favourites

Every year I tell myself that I’ll make it to NYFW one day, and that dream is still very much alive. It has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, however until then I’ll just live it vicariously through social media and bloggers. Obviously as a fashion blogger, I follow a fair share of designers, socialites and bloggers on Instagram that are sharing their collections and NYC moments with their followers.

image

image

My main bloggers that I follow during the festivities are: Alexandra Pereira, Rebecca Laurey, Margaret Zhang and Lisa DiCicco Chaue. Each girl has a very different view on the shows and their styles are unique and incredibly chic. I also follow them on SnapChat which is great for instant and raw footage. Everyone loves a little behind the scenes action and these girls sure do deliver that.

Lovely Pepa: Alexandra has been busy roaming the streets of NYC to capture those picture perfect outfit shots and sitting FROW at iconic shows such as, Carolina Herrera. The Spanish beauty has been featuring her adventures on her SnapChat and has been including her glam team beautifying her before shows, she is definitely living the perfect NYC life!

Raspberry n Rouge: Amsterdam based fashion blogger Rebecca is a popular figure throughout the week as she is one of the most well known bloggers today. Her quirky style and European taste brings a touch of culture to the shows making her quite appealing to follow. Her time at the Self Portrait event was beautifully captivating. I’m a huge fan of the designer so I was thrilled when Rebecca uploaded her time at the showcase.

Shine By Three: One of the most inspirational bloggers around, I have been obsessed with Margaret Zhang and her style for years now. Her stint on Australian TV show, Fashion Bloggers made her a household name and now she takes prestigious seats at various designer shows across the globe. Her raw photography is magnificent, alongside her style, she has been loving the details at shows such as, Karen Walker. (Is anyone immediately thinking of Will & Grace. No?! Just me then.)

I’ve also included a selection of my favourite looks from the designers themselves over the past few days. SS16 is looking hot thanks to these talented men and women and of course the models help them sizzle. I absolutely love Lily Aldridge’s look for Diane Von Furstenberg’s show, definitely 1970’s inspired with the retro prints and voluptuous hair. Can we also take a moment to appreciate the fabulous Tory Burch and her magnificent gold plated heels. That detailing is breathtaking, if only they were mine! Zac Posen was certainly the epitome of structure and drama with his incredible pieces. Paying tribute to the free spirit girls, Rebecca Minkoff was very much the coolest lady in town with her effortless and laid back styles. Very much festival appropriate and firm favourites in my opinion. The master of the classic American look, Tommy Hilfiger remains an iconic staple at New York Fashion Week. His collection of one of youth and beauty all while incorporating his culture into his pieces. Again, when you have Suki Waterhouse walking in your show you are going to keep everyone’s pulses racing.

I know the last few features on my blog have been very much Fashion Week based, but it would have been rude not to include them. I’ll be back posting as normal next week.

Jaclyn Hill x Champagne Pop

The time has come for me to share one of my most exciting and highly sought after make up product. I’ve have been waiting patiently to get my hands on Jaclyn Hill’s magnificent highlighter in the shade, Champagne Pop. Her collaboration with Becca Cosmetics has been the talk of the beauty industry, in particular us bloggers.

I was lucky to have a family member bring it home for me from NYC. I was like a child on Christmas morning opening the highlighter, it’s just so beautiful. Becca are kown for their fabulous shimmering skin perfectors Opal and Moonstone. They’re incredibly pigmented and so buttery when applying, less is more with this product however if you want a full effect glow, then apply what you feel is best.

image

It’s a fabulous rose gold shade with soft speckles of shimmer throughout it. Like I’ve previously said, less is more with this product. Therefore I can’t ever see myself hitting pan with this beauty. I apply it to the cheekbones and high points of my face. As always, I find it a multi use product. It can be used as an eyeshadow base, centre piece colour or inner corner highlighter. With light inducing products I also add a touch of the product to my collar bones to emphasize them and give off a summer glow all year round.

When you typical see a shade like this one, you automatically think summer but I’m looking forward to using it during the A/W season. It will be the perfect product for giving me a warm glow during the cold months especially as I won’t have much of a tan. It would also be the perfect shade to wear across your entire lid if you’re opting for a bold lip. A light hint of colour would help compliment your lips and a touch of sparkle never hurt anyone!

Happy Friday, lovelies! Hope you all have a great weekend. See all of you in my next post.

My Week On Instagram ❤

So it has been a little while since I last blogged, sorry for the lack of posts but I wasn’t well for a few week’s. I’m thankfully now on the mend and very excited (as always) to get back to writing. I’ve spent most of the weekend drafting up some fashion and beauty features for all of you to enjoy. For today, I’m going to kick start things with some Instagram love. I’ve gathered a collection of my favourite shots that I’ve uploaded to my account over the past week.

I still managed to enjoy some online shopping (as you do) and I can’t wait to start experimenting with some of my new purchases. I finally jumped on the Zoeva hype and treated myself to the Rose Gold Complete Eye Set Vol.2 and their highly pigmented Coco Blend eyeshadow palette. The brushes are incredibly soft and the palette is one of dreams. Such warm and buttery shades that are perfect for creating a subtle or dramatic smoky eye. I also managed to get the must sought after Kathleen Lights quartz palette that she created with ColourPop Cosmetics. My man friend bought it for me when he was in America and I absolutely love it. I’m a HUGE fan of her You Tube channel and now I’m the proud owner of her palette. (Keep in mind, this product can only be purchased and shipped within USA).
