October Favourites

I actually cannot believe that October is coming to an end. The week’s have been flying in and before we know it we’ll be celebrating Christmas! I’m so excited for Halloween, I just love seeing the decorations. I think I’ll just opt for a nice takeaway and some drinks all while indulging in some scary films. I have been trying my best to save as I have so much going on at the minute. I’m hoping to update my technology gadgets, a new camera and laptop are on the cards so I must save like no other as they’re not cheap! That being said, I have managed to build up a nice little favourites corner of products, clothes and accessories to share with all of you today.

Beauty:

I recently invested in a new paint pot from MAC in the shade, Groundwork. It’s very Kylie Jenner esque for all of you 90’s fans. I use Painterly as a neutral base however I wanted a darker shade for a more deep vampy look. They are such good base tones and make blending out my shadows effortless! I’ve been absolutely loving red nail polish again. It’s such a classic look and my favourite colour to wear during Autumn. When Winter comes I usually opt for a much darker shade. It’s from Marc Jacobs and I recently featured it on the blog, here. I’ve been kicking it old school a lot with my trusty Benefit bronzer, Hoola. It’s such a universal shade and again is so easy to blend. I use it to warm up my face and as a light base shade for when I am contouring. I’ve been on the search for a new daytime foundation and opted for the L’Oréal Infallible matte collection. I’ve only been using it for a week or so but so far I’m really enjoying it. The colour match is perfect and it has a great last power, not very many touch ups required however as I have such oily skin I do need to work on my T – zone but other than that I love it.

My final beauty favourite for this month has been my Zoeva palette in, Coco Blend. It’s warm neutral collection with some beautiful deep reds and browns thrown into the mix. I’m such a sucker for a buttery texture with my eye shadows and this palette is no expection. The pigmentation is good however I would suggest mixing some Fix+ from MAC if you’re looking to create a spotlight eye as the highlight shades need a little help. Other than that I still absolutely adore this palette.

Style:

You’re all probably fed up from seeing my camel coat and shoes from, Next but they’re by far my favourite key pieces for this season. I featured them on the blog a few week’s ago ( you can read it here) and I haven’t stopped wearing them. The shoes are so comfortable to wear and the coat is incredibly chic and easy to style. When I was in Dublin a little while ago, I stocked up on some Pandora and Mango goodies. The lovely girls at Pandora invited me down to see their new Christmas collection where I was kindly gifted with this rose gold feather ring. I already have the matching necklace and I was dying to get the ring. I absolutely love it, it’s a beautiful statement piece while giving off a pretty delicate vibe too. I also ventured into Mango and picked up some gorgeous Autumn pieces including this floor length grey cardigan. Apologies that you can’t see all of it, I’m planning on shooting a look with this very soon on the blog!

Photography:

In celebration of Halloween, I wanted to share a snap or two from my favourite holiday. Last year I was in Salem for the festivities and had an amazing time checking out the town. It was an unbelievable experience and my real life, Hocus Pocus. Definitely need to back back again for a visit!

My Week On Instagram

Happy Monday, my lovelies! Well it certainly is for me as I’m enjoying some much needed time off work thanks to a little holiday I like to call, Halloween. You all know just how much I love this time of year so I’m going to indulge in watching Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic one too many times. I’m really looking forward to some time off as it gives me the chance to catch up on the blog and concentrate on creating lots of posts for you to enjoy. You all know from the title of this feature that it involves my favourite post and my favourite app, Instagram.

I’ve been so busy the past few week’s, I’ve had some events on down in Dublin (you can read them here and here) and I’ve been focusing on those. I’m really enjoying getting back into the swing of being in ‘front of camera’.. I hope you’re liking the OOTD features too. This week I’m planning on shooting some more personal style looks for all of you.

Tonight I’m off to a private screening of the new James Bond film, Spectre. I can’t wait to see the latest instalment over some popcorn and champagne. Hope you all have a great week.

Christmas with Pandora

Christmas in October?! I know what you’re thinking but within the world of fashion, you always need to stay that little bit ahead to keep your clientele captivated. Pandora undoubtedly have a huge following and come Christmas, they are the ultimate destination for timeless and treasured gifts. Celebrating the launch of their new flagship store on Grafton Street, Dublin and the preview of their festive jewels, it was a very merry evening.

The delicious treats were a fab starting point before making our way around the exclusive launch. I’m a real sucker for sweets ‘n’ treats at events, they add such a personalised touch and fuel us for of sugar before the grand unveiling. The iced cookies were as delicious as they look, they worked beautifully with refreshing cocktails and wine we were sampling.

The delightful Vogue Williams was our DJ for the evening helping to set the mood with trendy tunes. Pandora really did go all out for this event with Dublin’s finest fashionista’s, socialites and media personalities and little old me! Haha.

Now.. down to business. The theme for the evening was a vibrant blue undertone against the crisp white interior making it a firm favourite for us social media addicts. A white wooden Christmas Tree was the centre piece as magnificent and delicate Pandora jewellery draped beautifully from the branches. I don’t know about any of you but that’s definitely my kind of tree, the room was perfectly sparkling giving all of us that warm festive feeling. I’ve been really into rings this season, I tend to go through phases with my jewellery. Last year I was all about delicate necklaces and now it’s rings. This beautiful trio of silver diamante’s is such a pretty combination, the layering trend is massive and this little set is the perfect gift.

As I’ve previously said, our evening was centered around the gorgeous Christmas charms. I have a weakness for novelty jewellery, Halloween and the festive season is a popular time for my collection! The detailed charms are just so pretty, the red present was my personal favourite. I love how Pandora mix colourful piece’s with silver charms, it helps to keep things fresh and unique. I’m wanting to build my jewellery collection and I have my eye on the gorgeous circle Pandora ring. I don’t really have any silver piece’s so I think this one will look good mixed with my gold and rose gold rings.

Before leaving, I was very kindly gifted with a voucher and purchased this rose gold feather ring. I’ve had my eye on this little beauty for a while now after first seeing it at the launch of their rose gold collection back in the summer (you can read the post here). I have the necklace and wanted the ring to match. It’s such a flattering piece and I absolutely love it. Rose gold is definitely my favourite jewellery material, it’s such a beautiful warm tone and always looks so flattering.

Thank you so much to Aimee and Pandora for having me down. It was such a magical evening and the beautiful jewellery was worth the journey. I can’t wait to start building my collection, first stop… the rings!

Next Camel Coat

In my last OOTD post (you can read it here) I mentioned how I have been going back to more neutral tones with my looks. It’s so refreshing taking my outfits back to basics and this Next Camel Coat is no exception. I’ve never owned a coat like this before; it seems to be very on trend for us bloggers! So I was very excited to style it with some of my keys pieces from my wardrobe and channel my best Autumn appropriate lady.

Along with the coat, these fab monk shoes also from Next are new additions to my A/W wardrobe. I’ve been wanting to branch out with my footwear and try a more preppy style. When it comes to shoes, I need a supportive sole as I can’t wear a completely flat pair. I have the worst feet that are extremely high maintenance so proper shoe choices are a must for me. These black patent beauties are by far thee most comfortable shoes ever. They are the perfect flats for Autumn and are easily styled. I opted for my trusty Zara bag to complete my prep based look.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the letter ‘N’ prop?! Haha. The fabulous Titanic Quarter is my new favourite location for shooting looks. The architecture is out of this world and my obsession with water based details continues. I also wore my Zara biker jeans and monochrome top to complete the look.

I paired my favourite necklaces with my simplistic look. My treasured Emozioni coin pendent and Pandora longline necklace is a classic combination and personal favourite of mine. The feather piece is from their rose gold collection, it’s my go to necklace at the moment. What I love most about this coat is the strong structure. It is beautifully chic and a popular coat during the autumn/winter months. I’m planning on bringing this beauty with me to Berlin in a few week’s. I’m excited to style it using various colors and prints, I think a dark demin shirt would look amazing under it for a more street style look.

(If you order before 12pm midnight, you can order free to your local store for collection. Visit Next online for more details… Happy Shopping!)

What do you lovelies think of the camel coat trend then?! Sometimes when piece’s are a huge favourite within the blogging scene I tend to stray away, but this one I’ve given into!

My Week On Instagram ❤

Yes, this post is called my WEEK on Instagram but I’m throwing it back to a little further than the past seven days. I took a few days off from blogging as I was finishing up with work for the Summer. With that comes endless hours (that I enjoy) blogging, networking and attending events. I don’t know about any of you but there are definitely certain times throughout the year when life just takes over and I need some TLC time to just relax.

Most Instagram accounts have a theme throughout, I definitely think one of mine is the classic flatlay. I never really thought about it properly until tonight when I started go upload all of these flatlays. Is anyone else the same? Do you have a particular theme you stick with?

How delicious does my frozen yogurt look?! Well, I can tell you that it certainly tickled my taste buds! I was at the launch of Yogland on the Lisburn Road last Friday and I had the opportunity to sample some of the mouthwatering treats. I would definitely suggest visiting it during the summer months if you fancy a quick snack with your man friend, family or friends.
