Grainne Maher’s P&D Collection

NI Fashion Designer of the Year Gráinne Maher’s jewellery exploded on the international stage when US superstar Selena Gomez wore the Bark at the Moon pendant presenting the MTV EMAs in 2011. Since then, both her career and Pluck & Devour collection has grown from strength to strength. Now being stocked at the House of Fraser and various boutiques throughout Northern Ireland, the stunning and unique collection is proving popular for us stylish ladies and is becoming a hot favourite on the NI runways.

I myself have started up my own P&D collection and I am planning on expanding it with some of these fantastic pieces. The first piece I bought was this fabulous silver Owl Moon Star statement necklace with a beautiful swarovski star hanging from it. As soon as I set eyes on this stunning necklace, I knew that I would quickly become addicted to Grainne’s collection. The quirky and one of a kind designs are a personal favourite of mine and I always receive lovely compliments when wearing them.

Another piece that I have is the Phoenix design that was given to me by the lovely Grainne. It’s the perfect length and I love how it catches the light, I tend to wear this piece a lot during the day and when I’m going out for the night and channelling my inner rock chick. Again, it’s such an unusual design to see on a necklace and that’s why I love it.

Her latest collection featuring the iconic Ampersand symbol, has been spotted on the catwalk of Belfast Fashion Week during their SS13 shows. The bold and beautiful statement necklaces and bracelets have stepped it up and are the ultimate accessory for the coming spring/summer months. Created in a variety of colours from the bold monochrome style to the sweet shades of yellow, coral and orange.

Grainne’s Ampersand collection is stocked at the House of Fraser, Victoria Square

There is also a single ampersand drop necklace in a variety of sizes and colours. The hard part will be picking your favourite, at purse friendly prices, why not build up your own collection. Trust me, when you buy your first ever piece, you’ll have popped your P&D cherry and will become addicted. 😉

I’m also delighted to show all of my lovely readers a sneak peek at Grainne’s upcoming ‘Polly Gone’ chunky bangle that will be available very soon! I can’t wait for its release, I need to get myself one asap. I love the smouldering smokey translucent colour of the bracelet, its fabulous for those nights out on the town. This perspex P&D Luxe bracelet is an essential accessory for AW13, it would look great as a single statement or layered up if you fancy making a bold impression.

House of Fraser SS13 Collections

I was thrilled to be invited to the launch of House of Frasers SS13 collection by the lovely Mark. I attended their AW12 press show back in August and it was a fabulous event so I knew that this one would be no different.

Despite the freezing cold weather and horrible snow (I usually love it but not when I’m in heels and a full face of make up.) I made it to their stunning Ivory restaurant in one piece.

Collections featured from the very fabulous Mary Portas, BIBA, Grainne Maher and Benefit cosmetics. The array of magnificent colours, fabrics and prints shone brightly throughout the restaurant.

Beautiful collection by Mary Portas

Floral prints, neon pops of colour and gorgeous fabrics were on selection for us to play with. Maxi gowns, cowl styled blouses and 1950’s prom dresses featured throughout a large majority of collections.

Vibrant shades of colour will be a key trend this coming season with the trusty floral designs continuing to blossom from season to season.

Vibrant colours and stunning prints

One of my favourite local designers, Grainne Maher, was there with her stunning Pluck & Devour collection. From hats to necklaces, I had a ball browsing through it all.

This unbelievable butterfly hat is my favourite. It is out if this world, and the soft pink colour works beautifully with the butterflies.

I was very lucky to have been given an amazing necklace by Grainne. This pretty phoenix has now become part of my very own Pluck & Devour collection. (Thank you Grainne!)

This event was a girly heaven! Not only were we treated to an exclusive look at the coming SS clothes, accessories and jewellery, but we also got to have a sneak peek at some newly launched products by Benefit cosmetics.

Fine One One launched this week

They’re also going to be launching some new shadow palettes and concealer. The lovely Mark & Caoimhe gave us all each a pretty Benefit goodie bag filled with Fine One One and some Bad Gal mascara. I was one happy girl! 🙂

Thank you to Mark from HOF for inviting me and to Grainne and Mark for spoiling me rotten with gorgeous goodies.
