Having spent a glorious week in Spain, I wanted to share my photo diary of my adventures. I had an incredible time exploring and spending some quality time with my family. If I had my own way I would spend the entire Summer there but unfortunately we all have to get back to reality. Last week I featured a few OOTD posts on the blog and today I’m excited to share my love of Spain and photography. I had been looking forward to my much needed holiday and it was honestly amazing to get away and relax. It has been four years since I was last in Murcia and getting back to the beach and culture was delightful. The weather was MAGNIFICENT and I made the most of the heat and glorious sunshine. Waking up in the morning and heading out to the patio for crossiants and coffee was a great way to start my day.
I have spent most of this week waiting *patiently* for parcels to arrive. I’m still waiting for the rest of my IT Cosmetics to arrive (thanks for that Beautylish). On Wednesday the mothership of all things beauty was posted in the form of Sephora. I decided to go ahead and order the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette. There has been much controversy surrounding the eyeshadow pallette but thankfully my order did not disappoint! The pigmentation, texture and quality are Becca worthy and I’m madly in love. To say it’s majestic is an understatement, the packaging is very ‘Instagram appropriate’ and the colours certainly pop.
Just before Christmas I made an extremely happy decision to indulge in some online shopping from none other than American superstore, Sephora. I wanted to purchase some much sought after products that I’ve wanted for such a long time. Plus, the Christmas collections were available and I wanted to pick up the iconic Tarte holiday palette.
Within the fashion and beauty industry, a certain level of shopping is essential. It’s only natural that I enjoy the sport given the field I’m in. However, I often have people telling me I shop too much… but how much is too much? I work hard and have no children so my money is my own at the minute (obviously my priorities will change when I decide to have a family). I pay my bills, I’m not in any debt and I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently. People have their niches when it comes to spending, some enjoy lavish cars, others it’s home interior and for me it’s clothes and make up. Spending money on clothes is somewhat of an necessity as I can’t walk around naked but I do enjoy treating myself to a top or bag that catches my eye. I have noticed recently that some people think I spend too much on make up in particular. Yes, I have a large collection that I take great pride in (and I don’t mean this is a bratty way) but like I’ve said, I work hard and I’m not in any debt so why shouldn’t I spend my money on what I want to?!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I’m still curious regarding this topic and thought I’d discuss it on here. Of course there are times when other situations come up such as an unexpected bill, travel or the choice to have a baby, buy a car or home. When the day comes I’ll naturally switch from make up to nappies (and I’ll be more than happy to do so) but until that day comes, Sephora and Space NK are my guilty pleasures.

I’d love to know your thoughts on this topic? What qualifies as too much shopping for you? Leave me your comments below, I look forward to chatting with all of you.
It’s been a while since I featured a nail post and I thought who else to blog about that the icon that is, Marc Jacobs. When I was in New York last year I spent quite a bit of time in Sephora. The American designers are so purse friendly in the states, I think this polish only cost around $18. I featured it last week in my Autumn essentials post (you can read it here). Today I decided to share a swatch of me wearing it for all of you lovelies.
I always use a touch of my Nails Inc favourite, 45 Second Top Coat. It’s enriched with caviar and leaves a beautiful wet look finish. They’re the perfect combination in my opinion, my favourite colour for Autumn. The pigmentation is good as you do only need two coats, pretty standard for a polish but I just hate when you need to apply endless amounts to get a decent shade.
I get roughly around five days out of the polish without a chip which I find pretty impressive. I could probably get longer wear with the polish but I like to freshen it up every so often.
I hope you’re all buzzing with that Friday feeling. Enjoy your weekend and I will see you all in my next post.
