The Boudoir Fashion Tea

Last week was one of the craziest times of my life, but in an amazing way! I had so many events on and I enjoyed every second of it. I loved the adrenaline, fear and sheer happiness of building my experience and career in fashion. It’s times like these when I realise just how lucky I am. 🙂

Anywho, back to the post. This past week or two, my blog has been taken over by the collection of events I’ve attended. And I’m finishing off this week  with my afternoon at the lavish Rita Duffy suite at the Merchant Hotel.

image

The event was a chance for stylista’s across Northern Ireland to get an up close and personal look at lush boutique, The Boudoir in Dungannon, and their SS14 collection. We spent the afternoon sipping on Champagne and enjoying delicious afternoon treats.

The boutique is known for supplying high end one of a kind pieces that are a mixture of modern vintage. From bold colours to magnificent embellished pieces, they have created a line that represents the spring/summer season perfectly.

For the show, I decided to wear my new favourite Topshop dress tucked into my ripped jeans. I paired them with my coral clutch and nude courts.

I’m hoping to make a visit to the boutique over the Easter holidays. I need to add a little vintage to my spring/summer wardrobe.

L.K Bennett Pop Up Clearance Store

Yesterday I was invited to attend a bloggers preview of L.K Bennett’s pop up clearance store at The Outlet, Banbridge. It was the perfect way to spend a sunny Friday afternoon and I got the opportunity to catch up with my fellow bloggers and I got to meet the lovely Rosanna from www.silverbrogues.wordpress.com

image

There was a wide variety of beautiful bargains to browse, from show stopping platforms to elegant dresses, myself and my mummy, had a ball shopping up a stylish L.K Bennett storm. The lady little also managed to bag herself two pairs of shoes for the bargain price of £20! Amazing! 🙂

image

The lovely folks at the store also allowed us lucky bloggers to take away a free pair of shoes. After some deliberating, I opted for a stunning printed pair of classic stilettos, and treated myself to a magnificent pair of coral wedges.

image

A stunning shoe is important to us ladies, but, the fact that both of these styles are extremely comfortable is an amazing bonus. I can definitely see myself wearing these for any occasions/nights out on the town. 🙂

image

image

They’re both completely different styles and that’s what I love about them, when I shop, I like to pick things that are so unique and different. At first, I thought the wedges would be too high, but, they are so comfortable and very easy to walk in. The strap helps makes walking in them a little easier, I just love them!

Included in the goodie bag was a fabulous Clarins beauty gift set. It’ll be perfect to take with me to Spain, they’re travel sized and the bag is big enough to hold my toiletries. All in all, it was the perfect way to spend my Friday afternoon.

The L.K. Bennett pop up clearance store is now open to the public and well worth a visit. With up to 90% off clothes, shoes and bags, you need to get down to The Outlet and treat yourself this season. Thank you to the lovely ladies and gent at L.K Bennett for having us. 🙂

Marks & Spencer Floral Clutch

There comes a time when the prettiest of pretty floral clutch bags is released during the spring/summer season and leaves you lusting after it. It has happened to me. I do love a good bit of the floral action during the sunny season, it instantly brightens up your day, and I just love the ‘ladylike’ factor it brings with it.

Marks & Spencer have been busy designing up a serious SS13 storm. When I went to their London SS13 Press Show, it was clear to see that they meant business. Speaking to the talented designers behind each department, they spent a long time looking at what the customer wants to see, understanding that it’ll be a case of trial and error and delivering to us a fresh and vibrant collection.

I know I always say that these kind of accessories would be perfect for those nights out on the town, summer weddings or the odd cocktail party, but I would even wear this baby going to do a food shop. The shape, size and of course design, is just so pretty.

image

Priced at just, £29.50, it’s a bargain as you can wear it with pretty much any item within your wardrobes. I’ve a couple of weddings and summer parties coming up, at least I’ve got my accessories sorted! 😉

Ruedi Maguire Fashion Tea at The Merchant Hotel

There is no better way to showcase your SS13 collection than at the stunning Merchant Hotel, Belfast, and Ruedi Maguire did just that. The talented designer treated all of his guests to a magnificent spring/summer collection while we all sipped on champagne and tasted thee best sweets and treats around.

The luxurious setting of the Rita Duffy suite was the perfect place for Ruedi to showcase his latest collection. Each table had a stunning centre piece of pastel flowers with beautiful Victorian inspired candle holders. Before the show started, myself and my mummy, mingled with the lovely Nuala, Julie and of course, FABB mama bear, Katrina. Each table was given a selection of sandwiches, savoury treats and of course sweets!

Around seven, the show started and the first piece set the tone for the evening, which was, glamour at its best. This stunning ball gown made all of the guests, and myself, gasp in awe.

From the waist down, there was pretty trickles of flowers around the front and down to the train of the dress. It honestly was a magnificent piece to start the show with.

There was a great mixture of styles on offer, from the show stopping ball gowns to the fun and flirty mini dresses. This adorable white dress stole my heart. I love the combination of materials used, the silk prom inspired skirt works beautifully with the lace top.

The lace theme continued with this elegant white pencil dress. I love a dress that shows off our womanly shapes and the lace material makes it light to wear and perfect for the coming summer months. With white, think of it like a blank canvas to accessorize. There are so many different looks you can achieve with this dress.

As soon as this stunning peplum dress hit the runway, I immediately fell in love. The classic shape, peplum styled waist and the beautiful material makes it a one of a kind piece, and a must have this SS13!

It was clear to see that Ruedi has opted for a soft pastel tone for some of his pieces. Each look was clean, crisp and fresh looking. The style of this dress is a personal favourite of mine. I have a few pieces in my wardrobe that would be similar to the shape of this gorgeous pencil dress.

Yet another show stopping dress that caught my eye. I love the soft lilac tone in this silk gown. With the long sleeves, they help balance out the deep plunging neck line perfectly.

The hair and make up worked beautifully with the tone of the show. The talented Andrew Mulvenna styled the model’s hair, and make up was done by the lovely Claire Mc Evoy. It was very old hollywood and extremely elegant.

Henry Holland Happiness

Over the weekend, I purchased the mother of all satchels. While browsing around Debenhams, I stumbled upon this fabulous neon pink and totally amazing satchel by the talented Henry Holland.

image

As soon as I set eyes on this baby, I knew I would be taking it home with me. I love the shape of it as it isn’t your typical square-shaped bag, it’s more rectangular. The check interior is such an adorable touch to it, I love finding a bag that has some imagination put into not only the exterior but also the interior.

image

image

It was priced at a very reasonable £39, but to my amazement, when I got to the till, it was reduced down to £27.50. I’m so excited to showcase it, and it’s the perfect accessory for the coming SS13!

What do you ladies think of it?

If you love it as much as I do, then, head to your nearest store and treat yourself! 🙂
