Over the years I’ve built up a trusty collection of makeup brushes that I either use on a daily basis or specific styles for when I’m going out. When I first started blogging I had a very basic selection of brushes that I used for everything. Looking back I don’t know how I managed it as with experience I find I need certain brushes to create and achieve certain looks. Whether I’m carving out my brow, sculpting my contour or touching up my highlight, I need the correct tools to accomplish a flawless look.
Happy Friday! It has been a while since I last featured an Instagram post so I’ve featured some shots from a few week’s ago. It has been a busy week with events and I’m looking forward to relaxing this weekend. On Wednesday evening I attended an intimate skincare gathering in the beautiful Mal Maison Hotel. I will be featuring the brand here on my blog in a few week’s so stay tuned. I’m so excited to try out their products!
Just before Christmas I made an extremely happy decision to indulge in some online shopping from none other than American superstore, Sephora. I wanted to purchase some much sought after products that I’ve wanted for such a long time. Plus, the Christmas collections were available and I wanted to pick up the iconic Tarte holiday palette.

The spotlight is coming from my American favourites especially due to the fact that the Tarte cosmetics brand is really only accessible in the States. However I have bought any products I own from QVC UK. They have a pretty big selection of Tarte products to choose from and the price point is good in my opinion. For a few months before Christmas, the spotlight was focusing on Gwen Stefani’s collaboration with cult makeup favourite, Urban Decay. The brand is notoriously known for their infamous Naked Palettes and now they have heated things up with a magnificent collaboration with an iconic artist such as Gwen.
One final mini tribute to Christmas, my latest Instagram feature is filled with Christmas trees, cute decor and LOTS of new make up purchases. I was very kindly gifted with some beautiful palettes for Christmas. Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the absolutely beautiful Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay and the Tartelette in Bloom palettes. The UD monochrome packaging is unbelievable and the vibrant Tarte palette is fabulous. (I’m such a sucker for details), the shades are pretty spectacular. I’m getting those good old January blues, (I’m sure I’m not the only one!) I miss all of the sparkle. Although I’m very excited to start 2016 feeling fresh and ready for a new year (as cliché as that sounds). Read More
