Oversized Scarf and Dungarees

Finally! On Saturday the rain cleared to semi decent skies and I snapped up the opportunity to shoot some OOTD photos. I forgot just how hard it is to shoot some style posts during the Winter months, constant rain and darkness makes it such a challenge. You’ll all have to stick with me as I might not get the chance to upload style features every week due to the weather, I’ll try my best though.

How is everyone’s Christmas prep going? I’m off to Berlin in three week’s so I’m hoping to buy Christmas presents when I get home. Last minute I know but I’d rather have a great time in Germany and shop when I’m home. (Selfish I know but I can’t resist Duty Free!) I feel like I’ve been living in the same clothes since September. I’ve tried to edit my wardrobe by clearing out my unworn clothes and creating the perfect A/W essentials. Neutral tones with chunky knits and black jeans is my go to look these days. A firm favourite of mine and I’m hoping to add some more pieces to my wardrobe when I’m in Berlin. I love nothing more than shopping local designers whenever I’m travelling.

Shop the look: Coat: Next || Jumper: Next || Dungarees: ASOS || Shoes: Office || Scarf: Zara || Bag: vintage

Hope you all enjoyed today’s post. Fingers crossed the weather improves here, it’s killing me not being able to shoot looks for you all. See you all on Wednesday.

Inside Jigsaw

I’ve always been a huge fan of the classic kimono. I find it to be incredibly chic and comfortable look to wear, styling them is effortless and I love how they help add a touch of drama to your outfit. I first spotted my new piece at a fashion show held by leading high street brand, Jigsaw. It was love at first sight and when I paid a visit to the store later that week, I was taking home a new friend. (Plus this fab fluffy pompom and delicious candle!)

image

I was heading out for a family dinner on Saturday night so I wanted to wear something casual yet chic. I paired my kimono with another Jigsaw piece, a grey tee and my khaki green trousers from River Island. I usually wear quite bright looks so it’s a nice change to opt for more neutral tones.

I love the complimentary cocoon-shape, it falls so effortlessly with a relaxed fit and wide style sleeves. It is a beautiful pure silk fabric with an exotic statement floral print, the perfect ensemble. When wearing a piece like this, I would recommend pairing it with a simple outfit so that your kimono makes a bold statement.

When it came to my accessories, I decided to stick with the natural look so I wore my Tom & Eva tote and rose gold gladiator sandals from Office. I was designated driver and driving in heels is my idea of hell.

Happy Monday, lovelies. I’ve an exciting beauty post coming this week featuring a product that I have been dying to get my hands on for a while now so stay tuned!

Belfast Fashion Week AW14

On Friday night I attended Belfast Fashion Week and their local designers and boutiques show. All of the cities leading ladies were in attendance and all looking incredibly stylish. I love people watching during the shows as it is the perfect opportunity to take note of how they have created a certain look. It’s always an inspirational time for me and I often find myself thinking, “I never thought of styling that skirt that way.”

image

Friday was a very busy day for me so for the show, I wanted to wear something casual and comfortable. I opted for a complete Topshop look by coincidence. I have been wearing their bird printed longline jacket a lot recently and I teamed it with a burgundy lace crop top and white lace camisole. As you can tell, I’m really into lace this season. It’s effortlessly chic and easy to wear. I also wore my trusty leather trousers and tan ankle boots for the occasion.

image

I’m just noticing how pale I look in this photo. The joys of light reflecting make up and a camera flash, eh?! 😉

When it came to accessories, I chose my favourite tote from Tom and Eva along with my new Fiorelli necklace. I find that once I fall in love with a certain look, piece of fabric or accessory, I will wear it to the death. Are any you of lovelies like me?

image

The pretty Fiorelli necklace is of course a rose gold style. I have been obsessed with this style of jewellery for a few years now. I have built up a strong collection of costume statement necklaces so now I’m really into the more delicate look. I adore layering my jewellery, it adds a little more variety and creativity to your outfit. A few weeks ago, I attended the House of Frasers AW14 press show and we were gifted with a voucher to spend in store. I obviously choose this gorgeous necklace. Thank you ♥

I spent the evening with the adorable Aoife from Bella Malone and her lovely mama, Collette. Aoife is a fellow FABBer and all round cutie. We sat and lusted over the styles and models. I’m in the middle of growing my hair, I was feeling incredibly lazy on Friday, so I put a plait on both sides of my hair and pulled it back. I’m not use to this kind of look but I just styled for my mood. My make up was quite AW with a winged eyeliner look and MAC’s lipstick in Sin. I felt like quite a rebel wearing it!

Of course, the models were all absolutely stunning looking. Each look was just perfection, a strong model and flawless designer is always the ultimate combination when it comes to a successful FashionWeek. Cathy Martin, BFW designers, models and everyone who assisted in the shows did a magnificent job. I had a great evening, thank you!

My week on Instagram ♥

What a busy week between events, work, blogging, shopping and snoozing! Now that the bright nights are here, I always find my days get busier.

On Thursday I attended an event over at Charles Hurst. They were showcasing Benefit’s new Citroën Benemobile. It’s an absolute beaut of a car complete with lush candy stripe interiors, an arm rest that’s really a make up holder and beautiful art work. My kind of car! ♥

This week I’ve featured new make up purchases, my favourite accessories, my beloved Tom & Eva tote and much more. Check it out! 🙂

Tom & Eva

During my crazy shopping spree in Krakow, I came across this beautiful boutique just off the main square that sold thee most adorable handbags.

image

image

What I love most about shopping abroad is the new and local designers that are stocked in each shop. The darling little boutiques are adorable and the quality of the bags is amazing.

While I was browsing around the store, I came to a collection called Tom & Eva. They are a Parisian brand that create magnificent leather bags in Italy. The variety of styles and colours were exactly what I look for when it comes to picking handbags. I opted for this fabulous cream tote that I instantly fell in love with.

image

This is going to seem big headed of me, but, I couldn’t help but include my Chloe wallet in the picture. (For good measure of course!)

From the colour to the style and size, I just can’t get enough of my new fabulous tote! 😉

image

I haven’t used it yet, but, I’m thinking of wearing it this weekend for my birthday dinner and drinks. If not, then I’ll save it for Belfast Fashion Week. ♥

image

The interior of the bag is a beautiful silk taupe colour with multiple sections for my belongings. A great bonus for me as I carry around so many things. There was also a long adjustable strap with it, but, I prefer to use just the handles with a bag of this style.

image

I highly recommend that you all book a trip to Krakow. The shopping is amazing and insanely cheap! 🙂

Happy Hump Day, rascals. I’m currently enjoying my week off! Haha 😉
