Vibrant Prints & Kate Spade

FINALLY… I’m back with a style feature for all of you lovelies. Between the gloomy weather and finding someone who is good at shooting looks, it can be a challenge to post. If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll know that last week I was down in County Kerry. I spent a few days in the glorious sunshine by the famous, Killarney Lakes. It was an incredibly relaxing break and I made the most of the sunshine. Although that’s probably our summer over now as the Irish weather is never kind.

Khaki obsessed

A quick OOTD for all of you featuring my favourite colour for this season, Khaki. Ever since I lightened my hair and opted for more of an ombre look I find that it suits me better. These photos were taken last month in Berlin and it’s only now that I’m getting to share then. On that day we were enjoying a stroll around the markets and fun fair. I decided to dress for the weather and the fact that we would be walking around the city. My usual Adidas trainers were a must have (I really need to start featuring more of my shoe collection haha) along with my black biker jeans (similar) and stripe top (similar). I went all out with khaki goodness from Topshop with my bomber jacket and backpack (and pretty Jigsaw pom pom). Accessories were kept to a minimum with my favourite sunglasses, oversized scarf (similar) and embellished gloves.

Trench Coat and Stripes

Apologies I didn’t post on Friday, my poor little camera is on its last legs and I’m now in a panick researching new ones. I’ve had my eye on the highly hyped about Olympus E-LP7 and the Canon 700d. I’m torn between the two as they are great cameras and the reviews have been amazing, I’ll need to make a decision soon as I can’t miss any more blog posts. If any of you have one of these or have used them before please feel free to leave a comment below, I would love to hear your thoughts !

Now. Back to the post. If you’re a regular reader of my blog then you’ll know that I’ve been going back to basics with my A/W wardrobe. I’ve been obsessed with my biker jeans from Zara and Adidas Superstars, they’re a regular feature in my weekend looks. You’ve all seen them quite a lot in recent posts and social media shots, definitely essential pieces for me. The classic stripe jumper always makes an appearance during the colder months, they’re an effortless print to style and worn with my trusty trench coat, it’s the perfect weekend look in my opinion. I went through a serious slogan phase regarding handbags, this unbelievable 80’s Hits cross body is my absolutely favourite bag. I love the copper tone and the old school decor, it’s actually big enough inside which makes it all the more appealing.

Shop the look: Biker jeans: similar || Shoes: Adidas Superstars || Top: similar || Trench: New Look || Bag: similar (I have this one too and I love it!)

How much of a wash out was that weekend?! The weather was not good for shooting looks in. On the bright side it did make for DVD marathons and junk food!

Sunset Beach

When I was a teenager I use to watch a TV show called, Sunset Beach. It was such a cringe worthy soap and I loved every minute of it. I think it was based in California in a Laguna Beach type location. It would make your skin crawl as the acting and storylines were so bad but that’s what made it so good, very Days Of Our Lives style.

I spent Halloween up in the North Coast of Ireland in a town called, Portstewart. It’s the most idyllic seaside village with the most beautiful scenery and sunsets (hence the TV show reminiscing). Myself and my man friend made a quick stop at the beach as I couldn’t resist a quick OOTD shoot against the magnificent backdrop. The beach was pretty empty at this time of evening apart from the odd dog walker and a few surfers. The waves were amazing and the sky was turning a pretty pink and reflecting beautifully off the silky sand.

For our day out/road trip, I opted for my favourite khaki bomber jacket from Topshop and paired it with my grey embellished tee (you can see it fully here) from Warehouse and my biker jeans from Zara. I’ve been loving my Adidas Superstars so much this season and I’ve been wearing them pretty much everyday as they’re incredibly comfortable! My trusty Parfois cross body bag and Oakley sunnies made for the perfect accessories.

I hope you all had a great weekend and didn’t have to endure too much of a Halloween hangover. I guess now that it’s November the Christmas countdown has officially begun! This year is going by soooo fast!

My Version of A Chanel

Hi my lovelies! How have you all been keeping? For today, I thought I would start things off with a much belated style feature. I’m sharing my absolute favourite handbag with all of you from, Zara. I think they’ve sold out of the handbag but I’ve found a similar style for you here. It’s the closet thing I’ll get to owning a Chanel Boy and I treasure it with all of my heart! Haha.

I bought this bag a few months back and I have used it on every single night out/event/occasion. Even though it is small, it somehow manages to hold all of my essentials in it, I feel like Mary Poppins with it. The solid block colour makes it incredibly easy to style and pair with pretty much any outfit.

I absolutely adore the gun metal chain with the thick black shoulder strap. The detailing on the bag is a beautiful woven style that is perfect for creating a subtle statement. I typically wear it full length but you can double up the strap for a more hold able look.

For this post, I have paired it with my embellished Warehouse tee, leather biker jacket and my gold heeled sandals. It’s a pretty laid back look that works beautifully with the bag. I love the combination of the embellished tee with my bag. I wore a bold lip (MAC’s Lady Danger) and soft smoky eye (Created using my Tarte matte palette) with a casual top knot.

I hope you’re all well and enjoying your summer holidays. See you all in my next post.
