Warehouse opens at Victoria Square

Warehouse is one of my favourite high street stores to shop in. They are so good at catering to all styles from punk rock to ladylike chic.

They recently opened their newly refurbished store in the heart of Victoria Square. As soon as I entered the store, I was greeted with some delicious Gin & Tonic sparkly cupcakes. (Not a bad treat, eh?)

Anywho, I’ve uploaded some images of my favourite pieces and accessories from their AW13 collection. I think a serious shopping spree is in order! ūüėČ

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

House of Fraser AW13 Press Launch, London

Back in May, I was invited to attend the House of Fraser’s AW13 press preview in their fabulous showroom in the heart of London town. It may have been summer then, but, already leading fashion superstore, House of Fraser, had already set in motion the exclusive preview¬†for their AW13 collection and I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of it.

The lovely Mark invited myself and the adorable Mags over to London for the day to browse their upcoming collection and I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh each fashion label looked. Usually, the autumn/winter months consist of black and grey colours from high street stores, but, the House of Fraser continued to inject some vibrant colours and bold prints into their collections.

Also on offer was lots of fabulous embellished necklaces, handbags and clothes from Biba. I got a real Gatsby vibe from their collection with stunning rich colours, heavy embellishment and statement pieces that would be the perfect edition to your wardrobe.

As I’ve said,¬†Biba took fashion notes from the 1920’s and it ¬†was like a scene from The Great Gatsby. I was elbow deep in the collection and absolutely loving it. Having recently seen the film, I’m now even more obsessed with the ‘Roaring 20’s’ era and Biba have nailed it for the upcoming autumn/winter season.

Mary Portas is a personal favourite of mine, particularly her collections for the HoF, and I’m beyond excited to get my hands on some of her pieces to help update my AW wardrobe.

I fell head over heels in love with this stunning shirt that immediately went to the top of my ‘Wish List’. There are still elements from her previous collection with regards to some of her dresses and shirts, but I’m more than happy with that.

Linear also had an amazing collection of clothing on offer for the coming AW13. I absolutely loved the stunning array of colours that this fabulous clothing line had to offer. Bold prints, classic stripes and timeless jackets are all available from their collection.

As soon as I set eyes on this stunning white and black polka dot shirt and dress by Untold, I immediately feel in love. I featured it in my Irish News column a few weeks ago. I love how it clashes the dress and shirt together. I get a real ladylike vibe from it, but, by adding the shirt, it gives off a real unique and vintage feel. It looks fabulous worn as a two piece, but, if you want to dress it up for a night out, then wear the dress on its own with a deep cherry lip. ūüôā

Now it’s onto the handbags.¬†I’ve always been a huge fan of Lulu Guinness¬†and I was delighted to see her latest AW collection at the House of Fraser press show. I love how quirky her pieces are yet they still represent her classic style and colours.

Thanks to Mark and the House of Fraser for inviting me over to a fabulous launch. I’m excited to treat myself to a collection of stunning clothes and accessories from their talented designers.

Heaton’s AW13 Collection

A few months back, I featured my trip to Heatons in Newtonabbey to check out their SS13 collection. It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over and the time to welcome the AW13 styles has come. Now, I have to admit, I’m the kind of girl who loves the autumn/winter time of year. There’s nothing better than getting home to light the fire on a ¬†dark night.

The lovely Brittany sent me out the lookbook for Heatons AW13 collection and I was pleasantly surprised with how chic and reasonably priced the range was. I’ve hand picked my favourite dresses, coats and trousers from the lookbook, and I’m going to give all of my lovely readers a sneak peak.

I want to kick start the collection with my favourite item, the birdcage dress. As soon as I set eyes on this gorgeous number, I had to have it. And indeed I did. On Saturday, I took a trip over to Newtonabbey and purchased this little baby. ( I’ll upload an image of me wearing it in a different post.) Everything about this dess is perfect. From the length to the fit and of course, the gorgeous print.

I don’t about you lovely people, but, I’ve noticed a drop in the temperature. Yes, on the odd day it can still feel a little calamy, but most days, it’s a chilly one. I have my own red coat that is quite similar to this one. Red is the perfect colour to wear during the Autumn/Winter months as it helps brighten up your look. Paired with a stylish scarf and you’re onto a winner.

I showed you all the birdcage dress, now it’s time to take a look at this stunning maroon feather print dress. Prints are honestly one of my favourite styles, particularly on ladylike dresses. It’s perfect for work, shopping or you can transform it into a night time look. Another pretty detail is the pockets, I love how pockets give any item of clothing an elegant and chic feel.

As I said earlier,¬†I made a visit over to¬†Heaton’s to have a look at their SS13 collection. I purchased a pair of print trousers and an embellished jumper. You can view the post here. They’ve now created an updated and Autumn inspired pair that are just stunning. Purple is one of my favourite colours, and I absolutely love it on these trousers.

Mustard is one of those colours that only some people can wear. It all depends on your skin tone and the shade of mustard you opt for. I have to say though, this mustard and floral skirt is the perfect combination on a cool Autumn day.

This look is chic at its best. I love the double colour clash combined with prints and peep toe ankle boots. It’s a strong look and perfect for when you mean business.

Hope you’re all having a great week and enjoyed your bank holiday weekend! ‚ô•

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Yesterday the snow was pouring down on us and, if you’re anything like me, you’ll automatically panick about what to wear. Not in a vein way, but, in a keep warm kind of way. I thought I would pull together some of my essential piece’s that are required for this kind of weather and yes, that still keeps you looking stylish. ūüôā

(Top Left: Gloves, Asos. Top Right: Hat, Asos. Center: Coat, Asos)

I’ve selected my favourite ‘go to’ piece’s from Asos, Internationale and Dune. When this kind of weather comes along, you can enjoy it even more when you’re properly dressed for it and avoid those leaking in shoes. (One of my biggest pet peeves!)

(Top Left: Jeans, Internationale. Top Right: Jumper, Internationale. Center: Boots, Dune.)

Hope you’re all enjoying the snow, apparently there is more forecast for Monday. ūüôā
